@Raymond O'Connor NZ schoolboys are far better than SA … SA schools only beat B level Nz teams like Christchurch … but would get smoked playing against north island teams filled with Pacific Islanders … Hamilton just dominated SA best school Grey College last week 😂😂
@Raymond O'Connor Nope, Greys 1st team vs Hamilton filled with 15/16 year olds … there’s a reason NZ has 6x the Sanix school boy World Cup wins than SA and NZ have won the u20 World Cup 6x and SA only won 1x … NZ schoolboy rugby is the best, period.
@Raymond O'Connor definitely wasn’t lol. SA are subpar & over exaggerate how good they are beating only 3rd tier NZ teams like Christchurch … all our top 8 teams would beat Grey College & SA best schools … facts. Nz 6x Sxhoolboy world cups … SA 1x 😂😂😂 speaks for its self
@Raymond O'Connor Yeah cause they're doping up schoolboys in SA. The 16 year olds are practically the size of 21 year olds whereas the NZ schoolboys look very age-appropriate.
The College games start at around 4:30pm and the Crusaders vs Chiefs start at 7:05 meaning there is a 1 hour break between games and you don't get out of the Stadium until almost 9pm. The weather didn't help either. Also Senior A club Rugby games would have finished just as this game started.
@@tanieramanaia6186 at that age SA is more focused on varsity cup and local club games not international games, none of the NZ high school teams have beaten any SA school in any tournament the past few years. Guess NZ players retire after winning U-20 cups?
Exactly. You have 10 major schools that can compete at this level. NZ has hundreds of schools that can compete. It’s not just rich private schools that play high level rugby here, it’s both. Probably why we don’t do as well at the secondary school world champs than we do for U20s. All your top players go to the same 10 or so schools
A prime example is that I’ve been involved in NZ rugby my entire life and have never heard of St Thomas high school before. Yet they’re making a well known Christs college side look mediocre.
@@aranakenny6075 Top schools in SA is state run schools not private, most which cost 4000 NZD per year so way cheaper than your state run schools. Also why would NZ let average teams compete in international games and not their top schools? That is true our top schools usually win 70-90% of their games. But doesn't mean the other schools are bad, big chunk of the springboks made a name for themselves at random schools here.
NZ school boys are far better .. north island schools are filled with islanders so they have huge players … genetic freaks. SA is not in the same level as seen when Hamilton Boys just dominated Grey college the best school team in SA
No 11 for red. That kid has wheels...work him into space and hes gone
Some awesome talent here! That red left-wing is a *rocket!* Absolutely outstanding!
Yep I’m the tee boy he’s really good
Even the NZ school boys rugby are on a whole new level
@Raymond O'Connor although the springboks got beaten by Japan 😂

@Raymond O'Connor SA sent their best school though and got dominated by 16 year old Kiwis 🥵🥵 … nothing beats NZ schoolboys
Some very good skills on show here for a young team
That #8 should have the nick name of the Freight Train what a run.
5:58 was crazy!
Serious talent right here.
Hardly wild
1:30 tackle release! he had the ball! harsh call.
I think we need to showcase more NZ school boy rugby. Too much of Irish, Welsh and South African school boy rugby on Rugby pass.
When was the last time u saw anything but New Zealand schoolboy rugby on rugby pass
@@adammiddup-jones4563 I think you missed the sarcasm in the comment. That's exactly it, 90% of school boy rugby shown on Rugbypass is of NZ teams.
@@RealAfricanDude mainly cause it’s probably the most televised

That number 8 got wheels for a big guy
I’m a Brit so could someone explain each schools haka to me, like does each school have their own one or does it depend on where youre from
each school has their own haka. I go to the red teams school btw
Why so few people in the stands?

Great rugby but some truly awful mullets on display!

Top 10 schools in SA have stronger games than this, but still not bad at all.
I keep hearing this yet you have 1 under-20 WC title and NZ have 6. So they're either retiring at 18 or you're wrong.
