India has been designing chips for long time and is actually pretty advanced with the designing part.
How much big will be smart watch chip.
India should make Tv chips and laptop chips and cars chips
it is multi purpose same chip can be used in tv to fridge to a smart watch, it is easier to make chips for tvs than watches
There are two types of chips
FGPA and Asics and depending upon the point of operation these chips are designed,
Asics ( application specific integrated chips are like microcontroller used for tv , washing machine, refrigerator, smart watch etc where data rate is low and theses chips have lesser areas as number of transistors are less ,
While laptop and mobile processors has to deal with huge amount of data these will require more transistors so their architecture is different, most laptop has X86 architecture, while mobile processors are based on Arm architecture , MIPI .
India still does not have a single chip of its own.

Good idea. Increase the share of established market without ripples.
India is designing 30 percent of global semiconductor chips already, but we dont have fabrication plant except SCL semiconductor complex laboratory in Mohali which manufactures chip for DRDO and ISRO,
India needs own plant as of TSMC to have home grown manufacturing of semiconductor.
India still does not have a single chip of its own.
With India's industrial base, making high-end chips is still a dream. Semiconductor design chip is only a small part of the chip.

It's not microprocessor it's microcontroller which is developed by mindgrove.
