I personally dont think you use too much quality of life. People should be watching for the challenging parts, the bosses, not the annoying grindy parts.
Well to be perfectly honest, in my humble opinion, of course without offending anyone who thinks differently from my point of view, and by considering each and every one's valid opinion, without offence I honestly believe that I completely forgot what I was going to say.
Whoever thinks Skeletron used too much QOL mods should try it themselves.They will understand how much it helps.Also,finally Skeletron played the mod as intended because he promised I remember lol.

Irminsul's dream is a reference to Genshin Impact. It is a direct reference to Nahida, the Dendro Archon (plant god). It takes the sprite of her signature weapon, A Thousand Floating Dreams, and the way it deals damage is designed similarly to elemental skill. Irminsul is basically the tree of memories/dreams and is inexplicably connected to the Dendro Archon.

The reason that the solar tablet didnt work was because the big light thing hadnt been completed after moon lord. Beating moon lord sets the flag of the light approaching and until you beat the boss you cant activate events like that.
The thing is: skeletron is supposed to be in the dungeon not above the stars

I dont think you use too much qol mods. You are a content creator not a just gamer so if people want to see some fishing they can grind it for the fishing achievement. I also remember that you can earn essence for visiting biome in some conditions ( I dont remember that much its been so long that i played terraria in general ). Good video as always ^^

I believe by saying "damage to unhurt enemies" they mean dealing damage to enemies who have full HP.

Some enemies can heal themselves back so they wrote unhurt just to clarify things

I'm pretty sure the Solar Tablet didn't work because you hadn't beaten the Warrior of Light. After you beat the Moon Lord, you attract the attention of the Warrior of Light, which causes your world to undergo a period of Light Everlasting. Until you beat the Warrior of Light, night never falls, and while I haven't checked, I wouldn't be surprised if it blocked the Solar Eclipse as well.
Also, I think you might have missed the Aspect Weapon system, which lets you change the damage type of the mod's weapons, at the cost of a damage penalty. You could have made non-Melee weapons and just swapped their damage type to Melee. (Haven't finished the video, so I might be wrong.)
On that note, have you considered doing a non-Melee playthrough? Because I've seen you do Melee on every playthrough, and... well, variety would be nice.
(And regarding QoL mods, I do think you might use too many, but like, most of what I've seen just cuts out busywork. I personally avoid a lot of QoL mods because at some point you're skipping most of the game, but well, I also don't play this game as much as you do, and I don't have deadlines when I do.)

I only went melee in this playthrough cause I saw the murasama and bury the light were in the game and I REALLY wanted to use those (although I didn't know they were celestial type weapons and not melee)
Yeah, the damage change thing is cool but it is 10% reduction. Also, there is no armor or accessories for Celestial Weapons so it doesn’t really matter if you use them in a Melee play through

3:10 what the fuck, there is nothing wrong with QoL mods, like instahouses or buying potions. Digging hellevator or instabridging entire hell I can see being considered cheating. But other stuff is fine
Fun fact: the sex update is real, but when it comes out, in order to have sex with your character’s anime girl, you need to beat the first custom boss without any animals dying

having QoL is understandable in term of making a showcase of the mod by playing through it, showing all the interesting aspects contained in 1 video,
it becomes a problem of the fact that you aren't playing the mod to experience it yourself, moreso you're playing for viewers to experience it, and that can cause burnout and can make you forget all the other aspects of terraria that most people first played and loved the game for - like building, discovery, and instead go through mods as if it were a checklist of "get prepared for next boss, fight boss, get prepared for next boss" repeat
im not much of a fan of how QoL mods are right now, they mostly remove aspects of the game rather than utilize them to encourage experiencing those aspects to make other aspects easier, for example having a town npc in their preferred biome to make them sell something that makes another mechanic easier, e.g. in my mod a town npc will sell mineral powder that converts pre-hm ores to hm ores in hardmode if they live in their preferred biome, instead of just having the npc sell the hm ores
basically, QoL is fine for playthroughs to show off a mod to viewers, but lessens the interest of the mod and game for yourself
This mod has some of the most excessively weeby shit in like, the entirety of TModLoader.
Which is impressive considering some of the competition.

Honestly i agree with using qol mods it doesnt matter in the long run all it does is speed the grind up a bit
So i personally use basically ALL the QOL you use. And that is considering that i play for fun and without "needing" to make a video out of it. I really hope you just use whatever QOL will make it most fun for you. I can totally understand how u do not want to build houses every single playthrough, or dig a hellavator each time. Im here for the bosses and the mod preview

You can change the damage type of your weapons at a 10% damage penalty. Including to rogue, healer and bard if you have thorium or calamity installed.

Warrior of Light being the most obvious. But who he is is a bit less obvious unless you've played the game.
Of course there are tons of other references too. Its just that a lot of the bosses have ffxiv stuff going on. The witch boss uses Alisae's voice lines too.

Great video covering the mod! I wished SA has a tutorial/tips on the boss gimmicks, especially the early bosses, since they have pretty cool gimmicks but has no mention of it whatsoever. In the end, first time players will usually skip them until later where you can tank them (that's what I did). I'll mention them here for bosses whose gimmick Skeletron didn't mention (those I know of) for those curious:
Vagrant of Space and Time introduces barriers as gimmicks, thats it really. His attacks when he boxes you in can be easily dodged by teleporting using the barrier.
Thespian, Act of Alchemy has a move called Ringmaster's Will that tells you to either move left, right or stop in 3 seconds. If you don't do it you take a chunk of dmg. It also makes you leap left/right involuntarily.
Dioskouroi has a fire/ice gauge. Hitting the fire twin increases ice gauge and vice versa with ice twin. Filling fire all the way causes you to take DoT, filling ice slows you down. Gimmick is to balance the gauge and try not to kill one too quickly, since then you can't reduce the gauge. Boss itself helps you since whenever they use the move where they clash to the center, they equalize their hp.
Fun fact: Penthesilea's ink attack used to insta-kill you instead of chunking you, so rejoice she has been nerfed :)
Sorry if not, but im 99% that the Misery's Company is the Qrow's weapon from RWBY, cos it's at least quite the same, but i think is a good reference from the series.

1 thing I didn't see explaned is in the stellar array you will see the fragments from the pillars and selecting one will change all of the weapns to that type at the cost of 10% damage

IMO, using QOL mods doesn't make the video any lower quality. Without QOL, playthroughs mostly consist of just grueling grinding, which is never fun. You felt the impact of the Maso mode Mutant fight, and adding 4+ hours of just making houses, mining hellevators, mining, and grinding drops won't help either. Even though you want the best for your viewers, you don't want to kill yourself in the process
QoL mods are really necessary, they are used to not waste time. For example, digging straight down to the underworld is just clicking and mining straight down, who wouldnt be able to do that? Its better to use insta tunnels, same goes for houses and boss fighting arenas.

Damn this mod grew a lot. Played it a 1-1.5 years ago and dropped it because coming over from Calamity it felt so slow paced and not as epic. Welp I was proven wrong.

Hi, im a new subscriber and for me personally it's much better to use quality of life mods for you to focus on showcasing the mod and its more fun to watch you defeat the bosses. Just my opinion
complaining about QoL mods is the stupidiest thing people can complain about tbh, i personally just cannot play terraria without QoL mods anymore.
I'm sorry but quality of life mods ain't really that bad, nor should it be cheating because the storage system in terraria is horrible and I rather not be stuck in expert or master mode (god forbid calamity eternity mode) getting baja blasted by some cracked out mob while building a house.
It's funny that you keep saying that you don't craft weapons that are not melee, since the starfarer you chose is focused on ranged and magic. The mod used to explain it a lot better, so I'm not blaming you, just had a small chuckle
