It amazes me how an equalizer app can literally replace a $500 actual equalizer. The bass response of some of these apps is phenomenal some going as low as below 20 hz. It literally adds a virtual subwoofer to your existing speakers.
FX Sound works phenomenal. I use Spotify to drive my music most of the time, which on Windows does some weird processing with their EQ. It almost feels subtractive. +2db on the low end just sounds like everything else is muffled, instead of having the lows amplified. It's like the drivers in my headphones aren't even trying with their EQ. FX Sound fixes that, and adds a bit of clarity with the mids as well with their music preset.
Thanks a lot. Fx sound, the simplest way to improve any pc, even the base sound system. I connected a 100w audio systemto my pc and it is astonishing the difference, before an after. Thanks alot
Cheers yep thats what I was looking for, free (donate) simple no bullshit EQ that works. I tried Boom 3D first, lots of pop up ads and its pay, took forever to even run, complete garbage imo.
Boom 3D is good app but I was using it for 2 years and that was hell. Many bugs, a lot of crashes, reinstalling few times, deleting my presets and many more. I had to change it to something other because my mic was turning on and off in random moments until I turn off app.

Also does the free version limit what the app will do. Since switching to Windows 10, there's way too much bass which I cannot get rid of. Any advice will be appreciated.
Couple of things,....does FX Sound only alter the sound going through your speakers OR can it be used as a DSP for shaping a microphone's EQ while recording LIVE? Is it only a "post" editing EQ tool or can it be used LIVE??? I'm looking for something that actually shapes your microphone so that when you are recording LIVE, the EQ adjustments are also recorded with it. Lastly,....stupid question on my part,...but usually RED signals "Stoppage".....How do you know that your EQ in FX Sound is actually on and being recorded with your mic? If the button is Red? That seems like a contradiction. Assumed they would have a GREEN color.
Finally an equalizer that works! FXSound worked straight out the installation for my Asus Rog Scar 3, was having problems with the Equalizer APO, but luckily I saw your video ;D Thanks a lot!

Sadly FX Sound enhancer isn't working with my headphones anymore... Always distorted sound and then it crashes. FX Enhancer was by far the best one ever, so many setting options and a really crystal clear sound. Many other ones sound rathe rmor aritificial and tinny. I guess I have to try Desc FX now. At least it looks it isn't less than FX Sound Enhancer.

what i want is an equalizer for when i'm watching an action movie, the dialogue sounds higher and the explosions sound lower (basicaly a compressor) where can i get one of those??? i'm tired of watching an action movie and waking up the neighbors because the fucking movie director wanted to be an asshole

@@gamingphoenix4876 the balance settings should do the trick...have you tried contacting or searching the website of the brand of headphones you have? maybe contact their customer service if you can't find an answer
none of these apps offer sound leveller so either too loud during action scenes and too quiet for voice. windows 11 dont have the sound enhancement so no solution dolby atmos app resolved my sound issues as has sound levelling
I guess after 2 years of having Astro a40s with the equalizer they nuke its performance and want you to pay monthly for Dolby to the performance back. Any suggestions?
I've had boom 3d for over a year now it's just stuffing up real bad, like I have to toggle advanced equalizer for the normal equalizer to work but even now it still doesn't sound the same as did before I had that problem
You can damage headphones if you use any Equalizer in general. It is well known that if you go beyond the normal limits of a headphone you can not only damage them, but your ears as well. Take care and use wisely!
Lmao screw the Walmart headphones bud the real danger is gradually becoming deaf without even noticing before it too late… and If you’re concerned you might blow your headphones speakers then you should definitely be concerned of blowing your noggin’s natural speakers lol

8d is more like marketing schemes, unless you use a 7.1 system. otherwise if you use headphones most is just 3d

Nothing beats ViPER4Windows, not even FxSound. Sad it's abandonware, but as long as it works, it's still the best. Won't work for USB output though.
