Absolutely agree. But that's not all, here every character has some degree of depth and a role well merged into the story. There's the hero with a troubled past, the mentor, the evil girl backed by the even more evil corp. UT3 story doesn't have this depth. There's just vengeance, 3 guys that blindly follow the "hero", and Malcolm who just tricks them (or can we say "just him"?)
I too hate it when after spending hours filling out waiver forms, my mentor wants to practice more, despite the fact I have a death match in the morning. This movie hits a little too close to home. SMH.
They're clearly Egyptians, yet I didn't see any cards in use, no shadow realm, or even a SINGLE Duel Disk! Historically inaccurate..... lol But seriously, this was my favorite UT. Cool weapons, cool-er melee, TONS of mobility, The Adrenaline mechanic, unique characters and a good story for a change. I still miss it and I so wish they would remaster it! I remember there being a lot of hate for this title, but I could never understand why.... Also, Selket FTW. I was an Anubis main but after playing her a few times I was hooked. And not just cause of those curves either :P
This game was everything in fps and 3rd person combat more exciting I played this like a religion and I even beat the devastation on hard sniper challenge, i read the reviews they said it was too complicated nonsense it was challenging and fun, I loved the fact I could look at my character and see there design as well as master aerial maneuvers and flipping through modes, unreal needs to remake this or add these mechanics to there new gen there's more to life then just shooting, I appeals to the first person shooters as well as 3rd persons it's a gem of ability they need to add these mechanics more control more diversity and style of play. I was deadly switching from guns to melee for a blade was beyond fun. Unreal if you see this bring it back or remaster this to get a feel for the player base to appeal to there needs. From the soundtracks to the amazing player stages I was shocked into ancient mixed with futuristic lore seriously need this back in my life.
It's high quality, with subtitles and all cinematics in a single video. You wouldn't find it anywhere else on RUclips. UC2 is definately an amazing game, wish they could make more games about these Nahkti. It brings back very nostalgic memories of my life.
Pretty sure they won't. They'll probably just port Fortnite to the new consoles and continue with the dumping of money they earn from that to keep their store afloat. (which is illegal, by the way.)
Man what a classic I loved this moba, and especially selket! That's babygirl right there, her voice actor does a great job at making you love and hate her. Like damn you would be 100 if you just acted correct, but that's why I like this ending. It's not that entirely bad just kinda lightly twisted
This game seems handpicked for xbox exclusive because of its target demo audience. And at the end of the day anubis and selket seems to just be a competitive gamer couple who livestreams. I was making moves to have that happen for me too...
Well they only made the Unreal games with Digital extremes but they haven't teamed up for a game in years. Mainly due to Digital extremes having their hands full with Warframe
10:10 Wait, what? The first contact between humans and Skaarj was made after the crash of the prison ship Vortex Rikers on the planet Na Pali. Prisoner 849, the sole survivor of the crash, killed the Skaarj Queen and escaped the planet with a Skaarj ship (the events of the first Unreal). Then the war between humans and Skaarj started.
There must be more than one queen or a new queen took the place of the one we killed in Unreal. I don't think Epic ever clarified this officially. Personally I like to think that every Skaarj tribe has their own queen. Of course if someone has any official info he's welcome to post :)
I believe they were refering to a different queen. Potentially one on the mothership that attacked earth. Most of humanity has no clue the events on Nali Pal happened. There are multiple queens, such as the one Torgor was trying to impress in this game.
Considering that UT was a spinoff from Unreal that was supposed to be released as an addon pack instead of a stand alone(thank god that didn't happen) I say we can definitely say the game's lore itself is very foggy and there can be countless wars/events we have no idea happened.
i remember not alot of people buying this installment of unreal that Gamestop was selling it for $20 New lol i bought 2 copies for me and my bro. Even the games that flopped were amazing back then
Yup, you don't even find it listed on those "top 20/30 xbox games" you can find around. The combination of being advertised as a difficult game (which was actually true) and the fact that you had to pay an extra for multiplayer killed it. But looking at it in retrospect it introduced lots of things that are widely adopted in today's games (like valorant) into the arena fps genre. It really was 15 years ahead of its time.
I disagree, A new UC would be tied to a console lifespan, meaning it will become abandonware in a matter of few years. Also there will never be a solid community over it, People would buy it, play it for a couple of months and let it die when the new CoD/BF/ will come out. Consoles simply aren't the right environment for an arena shooter. I loved UC2, but the xbox wasn't really the right place for it.
DavidLoZanO7 well, UC was made exclusively for consoles, it doesn't even share the same timeline as the PC series so if Epic will release a sequel it would surely be for consoles. I don't think they will though... It would make very little sense right now, given what they thought about the game when they saw the console players reactions to it, and with a new UT currently in the works.
@@SgtRenny it was the right place for it it had a cult like following back in the day and people who played it back then still play online via xlink kai.

Exactly like this no, but BulletVille might be the closest one we'll get to UC2. Pure 3rd person arena pvp like in the good 'ol days without being another BR. Joe Wilcox (former Unreal Tournament dev who worked on every game in the series) is on the dev team for it. I don't have too many hopes it will be a success, giving it's a small indie team that probably can't afford to advertise it properly, but... fingers crossed!
I am PC gamer since 1998. So i know Unreal Championship from only videos. And i think Second game is better than first. Becouse first game like a " Pre UT 2003 for Xbox ". Second game has more unique things. But Epic Games' biggest mistake for Second game ; they were not released UC 2 for PC. And they deserved this low sales.
What makes Unreal Championship 2's campaign better than UT3's is the fact the UC2 is about a tournament, not a war and it works.
+SgtRenny Also, there were a few levels that were like the original Unreal.
And not to mention that Anubis' Tournament Ladder takes place after the Ascension Rites
ut3 should be called unreal 3
Hell, all the Ladder Tournaments and the whole Nakhti Ascension rites are so organized. 6-way Deathmatch, 2v2 TDM, to goddamn random 1v1 Duels.
This was waaaaay ahead of it's time. Damn! I'm glad I'm not the only one who liked this format of Unreal. The melee combat was pretty damn fun!
i got this on xbox and play it alot.
i literally thought about it. fortnut got nada on unreal tourneys

Nice post. Good to see this underrated game appreciated
That moment when a game gets its God Anubis right as the God of Death, meanwhile the Mummy 2017 calls Set the god of death .....
But in actuality set is the Egyptian God of destruction

This game was so much fun. I also really liked the story, felt like they were setting up something bigger. I wish they'd followed up on it.

They should re release the dlc and revive the online servers

I think that this game should have been an Xbox 360 launch title, maybe that would have increased its popularity a bit
