- ICA Recording Group was founded in Washington DC in January 1977 by former Stax president and co-owner, Al Bell, once the dust from the various lawsuits relating to the Stax bankruptcy had settled. The debut release was Frank Lucas' "Good Thing Man" which was a top 10 R&B hit. This was the follow-up, and it's essentially a female cover version of that first 45, and is every bit as good. ICA subsequently released a 12" single that mixed the two tracks together, but I can't remember if that was ever commercially available.
The label would go on to release excellent 45s by Runette Roberts, L V Johnson, Edee and Chairmen Of The Board among others - it's about time one of the big reissue labels released a retrospective CD I think... - Видеоклипы
