Ngl, I wasnt expecting a wheezing Woops art bit, but given Spofie's gnome launch (or knockoff as it looked like Drak bumped into her during the knockback at 7:58 (not an actual mechanic, though would be pretty funny if it was)), it fits so well.
When Marc and Sofie reference party list numbers for rez coordination, it reminds me that not everyone knows that you can reorder how the game lists members of the party. It's actually decently customizable, letting you individually select the order of jobs as well as roles, and set a different ordering that updates automatically based on what role you're playing at any given time. For example, I have mine set up so that it always puts whatever role I'm playing at the top of the list, so that my compatriots are always grouped with me. If I'm on healer, the other healer is listed first (thus taking #2 slot). The tanks will be listed next (#3 and #4), with the dps listed last (#5-#8). Additionally, I specifically order healers (SGE -> SCH -> WHM -> AST), tanks (WAR -> GNB -> PLD -> DRK), and dps by subtype (casters (SMN -> BLM -> RDM) -> ranged physical (DNC -> BRD -> MCH) -> melee physical (RPR -> DRG -> MNK -> SAM -> NIN)). I do similarly in depth customization for when I'm playing tank and dps as well. For obvious reasons, this would prevent such a method of coordination, because the numbers on my list wouldn't correspond to the same players. My cohealer would see one of the tanks in slot #2, while I see my cohealer in that slot. This is why I just use a rez macro, that simply puts the name of my intended rez target into the chat (no meme text, no sound effect, just the rez action of my job with the name of the target). If multiple people are down, I also start from the bottom of the list (as I've noticed 99% of the time other healers start from the top).
I tried to get into some savage stuff with party finder, got my teeth kicked in with how chaotic and hectic it all was. Am glad to see that thats just how savage raids go, and its a cluster fuck for everyone :'v
