@@izzywn5802 Yeah but the part about cutting her head open like a can of tuna is actually valid. They could have gotten those cells through a certain spinal surgery that hold those cells thus sparing Ellie's life in the process to replicate more with her alive and able to live a full life.

@@mistermann4163 yeah I'd hoped they did plan to try a spinal tap first, but ultimately we don't know what gives Ellie her immunity. It might be the physical structure of her brain or the way the cordyceps has infected it, if so reproducing it would be incredibly difficult if possible. If it's just a different strain though, then you'd just need to implant samples in people which could be done with a spinal tap.
