+Philip Wilson Finding the VHS is impossible. Even the DVD's are a bitch to find. I'm happy mine still work. Definitely better than that garbage they call Twilight.
Back in 1992 when this premiered, I was two years out of college, in a bad marriage, and one night I couldn't sleep and saw this show at 11:30pm. This was a year before David Letterman was on CBS. I loved this show. I loved the character of LaCroix, a great bad guy and a terrific evil voice. My two favorite shows in the 90's was Forever Knight & Highlander. Thanks for uploading.
+Major Havik YESSSSS! THE NIGHTCRAWLER! I watched this in 1995 and video captured episodes to my $4000 IBM Thinkpad which was running Netscape as the Internet Browser!! hahaha! So much has changed except for me watching these episodes!
I was born in 75, so when this came out in 92, I was 16. And obsessed with this show. The only one that caught me more was Highlander. Totally feel you
Major Havik I also loved this show and Highlander: The series I especially liked the plotline of Forever Knight, that it was about a vampire trying to reclaim his humanity while serving as a police detective in the Toronto police department
I was so mesmerized by this series... It was on the Sci-Fi channel and was one of my first TV obsessions. This along with Highlander and Stargate SG-1 shaped my fandom life.

@@kyleday5026 EVERYTHING! The fact that it depicts my life at the time of airing. The music grabbed me and I was blown away by the production values: great cinematography, top notch actors, the editing is sheer poetry: nothing is wasted, every frame means something. The stories deal with very profound themes, that make you think long after the episode is over, written in a very intelligent way. This show has been copied & remade ad nauseatum yet nothing can touch it. (Certainly not garbage like badly acted "soap" Angel & even worse, Moonlight!) The cast is great (except for 1) and the actors are extremely talented. You don't see anyone waiting to say his line and, besides the one rotten apple, no one is playing one-flat note. The characters have backstories, dimensions and nuances, and the flashbacks (which I hate in all shows but this one) are very intelligent and fit the present story to a T. Character development is great here! Most of all I like that the protagonist is good but was made evil by his daddy: no matter how hard he tries, he has killed and he will kill again. He destroys relationships, he knows it, he has been searching for a cure for centuries yet he can't stop himself. He wants the light but he lives in the shadows, mired by darkness. WHO can't relate to that?! That's why he keeps the ones he loves at bay. What I don't like about this show? Catherine Disher! She was HORRIBLE and inept in her role, always playing the B-word. Now! Why don't you like it (I presume)?
Man, this zaps me right back to the early '90s, to my grandmother's living room, watching this on the little plastic Zenith with my dad. We were so happy...
Alexei Romanov There's actually a theatrical movie titled " Nick Knight", which was what this series was based on, and it Stars Rick Springfield as the title character
Vince, Me too! 🙂 I enjoyed the Friday the 13th series in the 80's. I also wish they'd revive FK too. I was a member of their fan club in the 90's (not sure whatever became of it, probably defunct sadly). I received Garnet Wynn Davies autograph and a letter from him which I still have. 🙂 I too, like many FK fans were bummed out when they canceled FK. I was kinda hoping Nick would have brought Natalie across, but that never happened. I never did get the chance to buy any of the FK paperbacks by Suzanne Sizemore yet (I believe she was the author of those). It was almost as sad as when the Sci-Fi network canceled the syndication of Dark Shadows, another favorite show of mine that had originally aired from 1966-71'. I fell in love with Barnabas Collins. He was my favorite. 🙂
When I was a kid, maybe 13 or 14, I would sneak down to the basement and watch FK every Sunday night at like midnight or one am. I loved this show then and I love it now. I have all three seasons of on DVD, but this is great! Thank you for posting!!❤️❤️❤️
When this was on air it was one of the few things that kept me from focusing on my parents fighting and eventual split. One of the only good things I remember about my childhood.
OMG...I love this show !....i used to record it on VHS tapes and watch it every week in the early 90s when i first moved to New Jersey......Damn i miss Those days.
I use to sit in my dad's lap just to watch this show. I know he use to wake me up out of bed just so we can have father daughter time together. After the show he'll Put me back to bed just like my momma had for school the next morning. No wonder why I was so tired for school. Sorry momma, Daddy got me watching vampyers!

This show rocked in its time, was deep, controversial, had many layers and rich ,evolving storylines...Not a shallow show! It also made equisite and beautiful use of the French language,so much so that it sounded like one of the most sensual, smooth flowing dialects ever! what a language! i love anything vampire or werewolf so i may rewatch this cool series, yes its dated in some ways but timeless in others, and the richess and layers to the storyline keep it interesting ,i think, even today..the only thing comparable today is the Originals, which i also love, though i think this is its last season..
I found it interesting that almost the entire voice cast of "X-Men: the Animated Series" were featured in Forever Knight episodes, throughout it's run. Norm Spencer (Cyclops), Cal Dodd (Wolverine), George Buza (Beast), Cedric Smith Professor X), Catherine Disher (Jean Grey), Chris Potter (Gambit), Lenore Zann (Rogue), David Hemblen (Magneto), Nigel Bennett (Mastermind)....and probably others.
This was a great show. It should have lasted more than 3 seasons. It's my favorite vampire series. It had a little bit of everything. The acting by all the main cast members was very good. Loved it when they spoke French. Nick and Jeanette had great chemistry and were very sexy together. I also loved him with Natalie, but wish they would have taken their relationship further. Maybe if the show hadn't been cancelled their relationship would have had a different ending. I agree with the poster who liked Schanke better than Tracy and thought Tracy was boring and unbelievable as a cop. I also don't think the actress who played her was very good at acting. Schanke was cute (not physically), but I found humor in a lot of the things he did and said. Like one of the episodes when he's dancing at the Raven. He looked really cute dancing. Or the episode when Nick was holding a guy out the 3rd floor window Schanke said to him "Don't drop him. Think of all the paper work if you drop him." I couldn't imagine Tracy looking cute dancing or being funny saying this. Nick and Schanke made great cop partners. Tracy and Nick were boring partners.
Elizabeth A I agree, I liked Schanke a better than Tracy, she was boring AF, her demeanor made her seem standoffish, humorless and colder than a witches tit in a brass bra Jeanette was an excellent example of a frenemy, as was LaCroix, though LaCroix leaned more towards being a villian than a friend and Jeanette was just the opposite, leaning more towards being a friend I'd also say that being the Captain of the precinct that Nick Knight worked at was akin to being the drummer for Spinal Tap
Was looking for some good 90s horror shows to watch this halloween and stumbled on this after much googling. How have I never heard of this before? This is only the first episode and I already love the shit out of it. It's so good!
I know some fans of the show didn't like Schanke, but I liked him a lot. He could be annoying and obnoxious, but he was someone you could count on and had a heart of gold. I had a friend in high school who acted a lot like him. He added humor to the show that was sorely missing in season 3. I didn't care for Nick's new partner Tracy. Her character was boring. She started out promising, but I lost interest in her after a few episodes. I didn't find her believable as a cop. At least Schanke was believable.
Claudia Cuttino are u kidding for me shanke was very annoying at least Det.Nite (Rick Springfield)thought so but what the hey shanke was alright at the end!Rhonda Bienes
Fun Fact: In German SCHA(/Ä)NKE means BAR or PUB and in the rural accent of the Rheinland a Schanker is a bar keeper someone who scha/ä/nkt aus - hands out the Drinks up front Just the pronounciation is totaly different so most Germans never got this pun. Just figured it when I have seen the written version of Kapelos role-nsme. In German SCH is pronounced as English SH for example and the ending E comes over as the English pronounced A.
Besides, the developers had redefined Kapelos role, at first he represented the more " primitive " beat cop raised to Detective. In the later episodes he become more the somewhat clumsy but likeable and insightfull fellow we all started to love up untill the air plane crash. I loved the way Nick put up the honor´s plakete on Schenke´s grave.
I remembered they use to air this on the sci-fi channel. I was only 11 or 12 but I was a big fan of monsters - vampires and werewolves to be exact lol 🦇🩸
used to watch this all the time when it was on .. city tv ... shlockey great fun ... even the evil master vampire was fun.. he was good in the show lexx too ... .only issue was it was produced canadian .. which lacks money and higher production levels .. else it would of been a smash .... bring it back .. better .. do it .. do it now .. lol
What is that catchy rock song playing when Nick meets the female vampire in the night club in episode 1 ?? Such a good guitar tune. The song starts at 34:00 minute mark.
I graduated in 92(the year the show began). I loved the show back then. But I was really unhappy with the ending. I was thinking of buying the DVD series a few years ago, but I wasn't sure how the show had held up as I aged. But now here it is on RUclips. I'm surprised it hasn't been required to be taken down.
Kapelos really kept on in TV business. Last I had seen him in DAED LIKE ME as a DAED/GHOST OF A FAST FOOT RESTAURANT COOK. Jeannie, the homeless girl turned into a Vampire at the end, was Nicole/Nicki de Boer, she had also played in STAR TREK DEEP SPACE 9 Ezri Dax the second host of the symbionic being.
One of the best Vampire shows out there. Any fans of vampire movies and shows should give this one a try.

I remembered they use to air this on the sci-fi channel. I was only 11 or 12 but I was a big fan of monsters - vampires and werewolves to be exact lol 🦇🩸
A great inspiration for Vampire: The Masquerade.
I LOVE the throwaway reference to "Kojak" of "The Night Stalker" fame. So droll!
I also have all three seasons of the show, and I also have the DVD of Nick Knigth

Give Moonlight (2007 series) a spin. It's the closest to a remake there's been.
I always loved the possibility to learn so much culture...an to keep that knowledge alive

What is that catchy rock song playing when Nick meets the female vampire in the night club in episode 1 ?? Such a good guitar tune. The song starts at 34:00 minute mark.
It's Terry Crawford - Broken Dream from Friday the 13th part 8

Where can i download all episodes for free other than youtube
I graduated in 92(the year the show began). I loved the show back then. But I was really unhappy with the ending.
I was thinking of buying the DVD series a few years ago, but I wasn't sure how the show had held up as I aged. But now here it is on RUclips. I'm surprised it hasn't been required to be taken down.
Nick is so melodramatic!
Ohh...a very Special series, i Love it
Such a good show.
John Kapelos was in also The Expanse a few years ago as well.
