    실력!! Super common. By the way, I always chuckle inside whenever I see this as a tattoo (力) on Westerners. I had a feeling it was off. 😊 It's like writing "EFFORT" in all caps on your back. 🤭

    I love this series. Would like to see an episode about 最 (최), meaning most. Words in this family include 최근, 최악, 최고, 최대, 처음 (maybe), 최선, 최단.

    As a software engineer I find it easy to learn programming languages but incredibly difficult difficult to learn natural languages. These sort of analysis videos that dig into the origin and composition of words and how different words are connected are very helpful. They seem to connect more with my logical programming brain.

    More hangja, please! Always! 🙂
    협력하다 - collaborate was the first word that came to mind for me.
    능력 - capability also
    Hehe, I'm a teacher, so these are the types of words I learn...

    Thanks God, the only meaning of the Chinese character 力 is "force".
    Pretty straight forward connotations include "strength", "power" and "ability".
    역/력 means "The power of XXX" no matter it is a prefix or suffix.
    노력하다 = 努力 = endeavor + power = strive/dedicate/work hard
    권력 = 权力 = authority + power = political power
    매력 = 魅力 = charm + power = charisma
    실력 = 实力 = solid + power = actual strength
    시력 = 视力 = vision + power = eyesight
    면역력 = 免疫力 = exempt + plague + power = immunity
    The perspective above is from a native Chinese speaker.

    달력! Power of the moon! ㅋㅋㅋ I'm just kidding-I know that's different Hanja. But I love learning about Hanja, so thank you for making these videos!

    Thanks for the video, i love the Hanja episodes because they can bring so much new vocabulary !

      Your guess is correct. 달력 in Chinese is 月历, the 历 here is not the 力 in this episode but they pronounces exactly the same in both Chinese and Korean.🧐

    Hi!!! I’m have a question Billy, can we type Hanja on iPhone keyboard?? Is there a way to type hanja directly from a Korean keyboard? Or do we have do use the Chinese one😢?

      Naver Dictionary has a method for drawing Hanja, but I rarely use it. It's faster to just copy/paste from the dictionary.

      @@GoBillyKorean I see, thank u 🙏🏻!! I’ll try with the Naver option👍🏻
