    It's been a year since this...but I have some ideas about the Necrosil.
    ..if it's a Ferring and it'll be in the future. Maybe it'll have to do with enchancing and using the Allomantic Fabrials?
    Example... Allomantic Gun or Swat Car.
    The Necrosil Ferring could make the car go real fast for a bit or the gun to shoot really store once.
    Necrosil Feruchemist could keep the gun constantly charged or the car constantly going?

    Nicrosil is how I think reverse Compounding would work. Either you store your strength in a metal and Compound that, then tap it when you need to burn said metal, ta-da. OR you burn a metal, get the effect, store the effect into a nicrosilmind (the only metalmind I can think of storing those in besides tin in certain cases), then tap/Compound that nicrosilmind for the effect. If you do the first, you get extra powerful and need to burn it, and if you do the second, you tap the effect directly from the nicrosilmind (or burn it like it's a supercharged Allomantic metal).
    I remember there being a WoB on storing senses gained from Allomancy (steelsight, bronze pulses, perhaps the mist penetration?) into a tinmind, so if you only care about the senses, you could do it with a tinmind.
    I don't think the Lord Ruler was Compounding nicrosil though, because it would've been forbiddingly expensive and technologically improbable. If he had access to some nicrosil but not much, he could make nicrosilminds for the powers and just tap it all for one show of power and then refill it in his nigh-unlimited free time. I think the most likely answer is that, since he rewrote himself to get Allomancy, he'd have made sure to give it some extra oomph beyond what a single lerasium bead would. Not to mention, on top of that he was a Savant and had access to ridiculous amounts of all at-the-time-available metals to flare if needed.

    "last week" lol!
    Evgeni, I think that the amount of Investiture of a Nahel bond is more than you think, because it allowed it to use Riino's "crystal ball." Riino then asked what heightening kaladin was, implying that he was very invested.

  • @BinarySecond
    @BinarySecond 3 года назад +2

    On hemalurgy, bronze spikes are required to pierce copper clouds I believe? So Rashek would have needed such things

    • @4LegCrotch
      @4LegCrotch 2 года назад

      Since he remade himself as an Allomancer more powerful than those created by Lerasium, it’s possible that he was strong enough to just do it naturally. Or his Feruchemy metalminds could have doubled as Hemalurgic spikes (it’s confirmed that he was influenced by Ruin), which would make him ridiculously broken

    • @The_Natalist
      @The_Natalist 2 месяца назад

      Not at all, the spikes only increase you your connection to the metals power (thus artificially increasing connection with Preservation). The lord ruler had just about the strongest connection to Preservation you could possibly have. His natural connection is stronger than even a modern (era 1) mistborn and spike combined.

    Could he have stolen a keeper’s copper minds through Hemalurgy? That would be worth having on you at all time and would also explain him taking something that he wouldn’t already have himself....

  • @wareaglerebel8131
    @wareaglerebel8131 2 года назад

    The reason the lord rulers allomatic abilities were so strong was bc he could increase his strength feruchemically exponentially. As we know, feruchemical powers had no limit except what was stored, so therefore the lord rulers stores were huge. He would spend time storing his minds at night. So you probably didn't feel his soothing at all times.

  • @voidsabre_
    @voidsabre_ 4 года назад +2

    It makes sense for the Lord ruler to be hemalurgically spiked if that is what allows his soothing to be so oppressive and powerful (ignoring allomantic compounding as a possibility)
    Maybe Brandon only thought he was hemalurgically spiked before he decided he didn't take Lerasium

    • @The_Natalist
      @The_Natalist 2 месяца назад

      Maybe, but Brandon had to change his mind after he decided Ruin could control people with spikes. Having spikes would make him weaker to Ruin, so he would have none or as few as possible. The fact that his metalminds were in his body was already dangerous enough

  • @oneukum
    @oneukum 5 лет назад +5

    NIcrosil would require you to have silicon. That in turn requires electricity. If you have that aluminium will become trivial. Cadmium at the purity allomancy will require, would also need electricity. And if the Lord Ruler's people knew Chrome, why make Vin burn aluminium? I am afraid the Final Empire did really not know chrome, cadmium and their alloys.

    I think that Rashek could hear Ruin because he was a little crazy weaking him, but if he did not rule the world Ruin wouldn't have come after him. Ruin found a small hole in his armour, not a large one not one easy to access, but a hole nevertheless and Ruin put in a massive amount of time and energy to insure that he could speak to Rashek, because Rashek had so much power and influence.

    Here’s how I think unsealed metal minds(metal minds that anyone can tap) work. The “excisor” are just people with feruchemical aluminum. To make an unsealed metal mind probably works like this:
    A person who, by whatever means, has feruchemical aluminum and nicrosil, plus whatever power you might want, pours their identity in an aluminum-mind. Whilst they do that, they store the desired attribute in the nicrosil mind. You can just hand it off after that.
    Thoughts?

    • @pinkliongaming8769
      @pinkliongaming8769 Год назад

      I imagine an Excisor contains Harmonium in some way that I don't know, but you actually could use an unsealed Aluminium/Nicrosol mind to give someone the ability of Aluminium and Nicrosol and thus the ability to create more of them right? My other theory is that the Sovereign himself was "the excisor"

    Edit: And apparently he might also have Lerasium tier Hemalurgic sacrifices?

  • @ishanluitel2516

    it seems like it would suck to be a nicrosil twin born lol. Like instead of storing an alomantic ability, why not just ingest a little more of the other metal you can already burn? Why compounding is so useful is because it takes time to store something in a metal mind, so effectively you can store large sums at a really short time because your'e taking the stuff directly from a shard. The nicrosil reverse compounding seems so incredibly mediocre compared to what we've seen compounders do that I'd honestly prefer a cooler set of twin born abilities than that. I would understand if that's how it worked because it makes sense, but I think that's just a use of nicrosil like Wax's fat guy pushes are are use of being a coinshot. I would hope alomantic compounding is something none of us have though of yet just because this idea would be very disappointing.
