Er ist Autor der Bücher Fear: The History of a Political Idea (2006) und The Reactionary Mind: Conservatism from Edmund Burke to Donald Trump (2., veränderte Auflage 2018).

I think I should read this guy's book.
I'm currently reading it. Excellent insights.
Bismarck was really good at democratic feudalism.
Back in college a few classmates proposed the hypothesis "Everything's Bismarck's fault" regarding subsequent European events.
corey robin looks exactly like he did in 2014 except maybe a bit older
yes, that's what happens when time passes
those double chambered water bottles hold water in a most remarkable way.
I find it interesting that there’s now an entire industry of people who have never voted for a republican (and probably haven’t even met many people who have) explaining why people do so
Would a Republican be a better source of understanding why people don't vote Republican? ...Or a person who doesn't vote Republican?
republican voters are intellectually incabable of honestly describing their beliefs.
conservative "intellectuals" only ever exist to give post hoc economic positions to make reptilian racial hatred seem reasonable
@@hugoshlim what do u understand about conservative intellectuals? Edmund burkle, russel kirk, david hume and thomas sowell, have u ever read anything of what this mans have written? The fact is, the majority of progressive thinkers don’t know a shit about conservative literature, and conservatives know at least the basic literature of social movements, socialism and progressism.
The mainstream GOP are just there to give the illusion of Representation. It’s a neat trick that the power of the cathedral plays on the masses.
Progressives are the delusional totalitarian demons in battle against reality itself, aiming to have control over the minds and thoughts of all people.l through domination of mass media, and state religion, progressivism is the state religion.
