The 9 dollars taxes per day is for tourists only. It’s a way to limited the amount of people, the amount of days they stay there and for preservation of the environment.

2:52 I'm from Manaus-Amazonas, and it's very safe here with regards to wild animals, the wild animals simply don't enter the city, they don't like the lights and sounds (The only wild animals I've seen here in the middle of city are sloths and birds), if you want the experience of "exploring the Amazon" as a tourist, the vast majority of ways are also safe, to "explore" people usually stay in "jungle hotels" which are hotels in the middle of the forest that have pre-defined routines walking through the middle of the forest and/or
indigenous tribes, it is safe, what is not safe is to go crazy take a boat and simply get in the forest (as some scientists/scholars have to do) only in this case you have to worry about the wild animals, the biggest nuisance for tourists here is actually just the mosquitoes, the heat and don't want to leave XD

Some of them explain the history and current conditions very well.

Hello, I'm Brazilian. There are places in the Amazon that aren't as dangerous as they seem. Brazilians who live there know whether the place is dangerous or not. It's incredible there because you can swim and play with pink "botos" which are literally pink dolphins from the Brazilian Amazon. It's an incredible experience.

I have to disagree that the favelas are only in major cities! But let's face it, the favelas are just communities and most of the times they are just unfavored places with amazing people. If you're unsure, just ask people about how safe it is and that should be enough

People who visit Brazil, especially Rio de Janeiro, go to the favelas as a tourist spot even though they are not entirely a tourist destination. People have the wrong or mistaken idea that all Brazilians live in favelas. Not all of them do. Many live in buildings, condominiums or normal houses without that crowd. In Brazil, we have 5,570 cities counted.

Brazil is 15 years more advanced and developed than other countries in the world. It is recommended that you react to Brazilian cities and infrastructure. Brazilian society is light years more advanced than other humans. The rest of the world is stuck in time. Brazil is an advanced China and Japan, but the socio-environmental aspect puts Brazil light years ahead of other countries.

It's a really cool video and these places are beautiful, but as it was said, it's a continental country. My region, which is almost 50% of Brazil, was barely seen in the video. The northeast of Brazil has several beautiful places, beaches and rivers considered 5/5 stars, cuisines and even animals that can only be found there. Northeast region is often excluded from tourism or even in these tourism promotional videos, because it is a place that for many years, historically, was excluded, resources were taken, people were enslaved, the highest concentration of black people, that explains this, so racism and xenophobia from within the country and from outside, no one from outside wants to visit us. So, if you really want to get to know Brazil and its culture, places for tourism, I highly recommend consulting a Brazilian person, not Ryan Shirley.

O nordeste representa apenas 18% do território do Brasil.

Cool reaction guys. I am from Sao Paulo and I have never been to and never want to go to the Amazon region. I LOVE nature, but the less people there the better. No, Fernando de Noronha archipelago is not a Star island, there are a handful of pernanent residents who make their living but fishing and small domestic agriculture, just turists pay that fee. And, do not get so impressed by the wrong dangerous animals. Jaguars, anacondas and spiders will probabily not be one of your concerns, but mosquitos will. Mosquitos are the most dangerous and the most deadly animals in Brazil.

I also recommend you take a look at Ouro Preto, Salvador, Recife, Porto de Galinhas, and Bonito.

@@beansx21 Sorry, but I don't use Discord. I just wanted to say that these 10 places are something very personal to the guy, because it's quite complicated to choose just 10 places. Even in Rio de Janeiro, he was very superficial, and as you noticed, he focused a lot on nature, but even in that aspect, he was superficial. Later, look for a video about Bonito; it's a fantastic place. But also check out Salvador, Ouro Preto, and even Paraty-he didn't show anything, but just imagine. Brazil is still larger than the United States without Alaska and could fit all of Europe without Russia inside it.

Fernando de Noronha is an environmental conservation site. Very few people live there, and they are usually paid to take care of the site. Tourists pay the fees, precisely because there are fewer visitors. Yes, it is very expensive to go there.
The only animals you should worry about in the Amazon rainforest are mosquitoes. To go there, you need to get vaccinated against diseases transmitted by mosquitoes. Large animals want to stay away from humans, which are the most dangerous species. Anacondas, jaguars and alligators, for example, don't make the slightest effort to introduce themselves to us. In addition to mosquitoes, spiders and frogs, the tiny, colorful ones, are really dangerous and are very poisonous. However, tour guides will advise tourists not to take any risks when they go into the forest, since the capital of the state of Amazonas, Manaus, is practically only home to people. It is a large city with over two million inhabitants!

Eu poderia ver animais selvagens em zoológicos, mas não gosto de ver animais presos, e por isso não visito esses lugares.
