    Great drummer. Always plays with a sense of groove.

    I don't know his name, but he is one of the best, maybe the best, drum demonstrators on youtube. And a fine drummer as well!

      Joe, The Remo coated Emperor has become one of my favorite heads. It does have a slightly more top end than the G2 but it works very well on the MCX as well. Can’t wait to try the new UV1 Evans head. The aquarian super 2 is another one i need to put on the kit.

      Patrik Benek, I believe. Awesome drummer!

    The best drum auditioner on youtube....Nick D' is a close second, but i love the fact that this guy just grooves and zero talking.

      And there's no silly drum intro music at the beginning of every video. Patrik and Drumcenter cz get right into it!

    those toms are cranked high. I'd love to hear them a super low tuning. Beautiful kit and a great drummer. Very nice :)

    Gonna be an odd question but how do these drums sound so great when I don’t see any microphones?

    How does he tune his snares....they always sound good.

    I have an MCX set, and I've got to say, I think it sounds better than the Reference series....

    • @joegaspari8153
      @joegaspari8153 6 лет назад

      I also have an MCX 5 piece, but I think it's somewhat high pitched due to the shell thickness. Encouraged to see drummers out there liking their MCX, as it seems the trend is moving towards lower sounding "punchy" drums.

    • @dcaudio1
      @dcaudio1 6 лет назад +1

      I have both the MCX and the reference pure...the pure series are much different than the original reference line. I have had those as well....couple sets. I love them all to be honest, but i will say the head chosen can really make each set sing to its specific sweet spot. For me the reference pure with the thin shells really love the ambassador coated or a clear pin stripe...the MCX loves the Evans G2 coated the most...the 10” tom with that G2 just absolutely kills....oh and both sets like either the Remo P3 on the bass drum or the aquarian super kick 2....both are monsters. What neither one likes is the Evans EMAD system.....just to dead.

    • @joegaspari8153
      @joegaspari8153 6 лет назад

      You mention the Evans G2 coated for the MCX. How would the MCX work with the Remo Emporer coated? Both are two-ply of course.

    • @dcaudio1
      @dcaudio1 6 лет назад +1

      Hey Dan i have both MCX and Reference pure...they are different all together for sure. The Pure's just resonate forever....really thin shells. The MCX is in your face and i love that to.Both stellar sounding drums...i just switch them up every 3/4 months...i will say that changing the heads on that pure kit really makes a gigantic difference...i just put a full set of UV1 heads on them and they sound very close to a Ludwig Classic Maple kit like this...that bass drum really nails the Ludwig big open sound...Remo pinstripe on the same drums sounds so rich and warm its pretty impressive..

    7.5mm толщина это очень много. Хорошего резонанса не будет, но звучат громче. Мне не нравится их звучание. Просто нормально. Pearl делает громкие барабаны. Кто любит громкие барабаны они подойдут. А кому нужен богаты звук клёна от них этого ждать не стоит.

    Where is the Maple sourced from? Drums are made in Taiwan. Kit sounds pretty lifeless to me. They look nice though.

    I’ve been hearing mixed reviews of the MCX. Personally, I’ve had mediocre experiences with Pearl. I’ve owned a Session Maple and Session Select and I was not impressed. The sound was too choked even with various heads. Idk, maybe MCX caters to specific ears.

      They're incredibly punchy and warm, I love mine personally. I tried it out against my reference today and think I kind of prefer the MCX. It's the perfect modern pop kind of sound

      The problem is the bearing edge, they did it cheap to sell cheaper, get it to a luthier or a good carpenter who can get you an outer rounded bearing edge so the head can sit correctly on the shell and you will have one the best sounding kits out there
