I recently bought the same winder, setting up on a normal table so that you can attatch the winder so that the winding handle is nearly flush to the table edge will stop the winder moving all over the place, but I still got movement now and again. so i've put pieces of bycicle tire inner tube onto the screwing disk (that goes under the table) and another piece under the butterfly screw, it really helps to prevent slipping. When i take a cake off the winder, i take off the starting end first, so it doesn't get lost inside the cake, then i take off the cake and unwind several rounds, which i then rewind tightly around the cake and tuck the end in to close it and stop it unwinding again. i've spent a lot of time getting all of my stash into managable cakes, I'm now onto frogging stuff I no longer wear or never wore just to wind again 😊😊😊
You have a ton of patience! I would have given up on the first try! Hope that scary looking contraption makes your crocheting experiences easier! PS, the kitty in the background is too cute’
If you attach the winder to the side of your tabel, you can wind while you hold the yarn in the same direction as the feeding direction thru the first thingy you have to feed the yarn thru. Now you feed in an angle
The first piece that you're threading the yarn through goes underneath the metal circle when you attach it to the winder. Fixing that should keep that arm from swinging around so much.

Amazing ideas! I’ve definitely had way more success with the corner of the table and rubber underneath! Thank you so much for sharing and watching!

THANK YOU! it was tough but it’ll get better😂

Love that idea! Thanks so much for the tip!!
I put a little piece of thick cardboard between the wing screw and my table. Hope that helps. 😊
I love that idea! Thank you for sharing!!
I use a bobby pin to hold the outside end of the yarn and that stops it from unraveling. Very therapeutic.
Ooo I love that tip! Thank you for sharing!!💕
Oooh I might have to invest in one like this, my yarn winder is smallish and struggles a bit with my thicker yarn 😂
Clearly the struggle was mostly on my end😅

Took me a long time but I eventually figured that out😂 thank you!!!
Set the yarn behind the machine so you dont have to hold it.Also you need to tighten everything well.
Thank you for this!!💕
