Thanks for this video, it was very clear and informative, I think the latin american community would find useful if there is a spanish version of this video.

One of the most common chips used in IoT is the Nordic parts because of their established documentaion and support. The nrf9160 and perhaps an additional nrf52832. Usually startups start with a costlier module to avoid the FCC certification. Since Nordic has standarized on the RTOS Zephyr, and EOL their own softdevices, it has created a whole new environment from the old bare metal development. Some companies like Golaith, have stepped up to simplfy this framework.

Thank you for sharing your insights! Nordic parts, especially the nRF9160 and nRF52832, are indeed popular choices in the IoT space due to their well-established documentation and support. It's interesting to note how startups often opt for costlier modules initially to navigate around FCC certification hurdles.
The shift towards the RTOS Zephyr, alongside the EOL of Nordic's own softdevices, has undeniably transformed the development landscape, moving away from traditional bare metal development. Companies like Golioth providing simplified frameworks play a crucial role in making this transition smoother for developers. Their efforts contribute significantly to streamlining the development process and fostering a more accessible environment for IoT projects.
It's fascinating to witness the evolving dynamics in the IoT ecosystem.
