Watching on catch up (Again!!!) - here in NZ!! Had a super productive week thanks to your voices in my head !- managed to kill my last credit card. Cancel a few things, sell a few things, found $50 credit on a 'foodbox' app (I had forgotten about), and sliced $4k off floating mortgage since the course began!!! Battle has commenced!!!

I'm still on a major catch up! Again, this is brilliant because going over questions consolidates it for me! We sold our rental properties fairly recently due to a number of personal situations (none to do with weed growers) and what a relief! I'm waiting for the finance/investing weeks to find out more bc my ISA for this current tax year is full so I need to find an alternative form of investing. PS I sent you an email question about spreadsheets ;) A great session and am looking forward to the rest of them - this is a small amount of time to invest for your financial freedom. 😇
I think you are caught up-to-date! The third session is tonight Judith. I’m so glad that the Course is consolidating ideas for you. Congratulations on selling your rental property and it will be interesting to work out what to do with the funds that come from That.
The investing week should help a lot, especially week eight which goes through all the different accounts and ways to invest tax efficiently.

I'm curious about diversification. I know you're diversified within the stock market with index funds but is it wise to also be diversified outside it eg with property or something similar? As stock market goes up in long term but could be down for a few years...or if stock market down then property likely to be down at the same time anyway?
What a great question! We will be going through all of this in the investing weeks! Your question is a little bit too complex to write a simple answer here but I promise you that we will go through it in weeks six, seven and eight of the course

Do you include state pension in net worth?
Must be worth something but not until 67
You can do! We personally use the state pension to reduce the amount that we need in retirement rather than increase what our net worth looks like! Either way works though
