HE then started to push going in for an “audit”. I was just like “dude, not interested” but I started talking to my friend after we dropped him off. She told me she’d taken a “personality test” and they’d told her that she was “unbalanced” and had the “potential to harm herself or others”. This girl was the kindest and gentlest person I’d ever met, and these people had made her worry about whether or not she really was unbalanced. Yes because by that legal decision, they just legitimized cults. By definition the adherents to a cult believes that it's a religion. So the only thing to do is to revisit the legal premise and change the legal definition, which they absolutely should do because it's nonsensical to determine the intent and nature of an organization through the beliefs of its members who are clearly brainwashed.

@@apostatealex Thank you Alex. I had my comments turned off for months and only see this now. Have you been able to unravel the mental effect Scientology had on you yet? Is there an estimated timeline to when I will begin to feel like my kind empathetic former self? I was also part of GAT II
Why did Alex Barnes GO BACK to Scientology after he left the first time? He joined staff TWICE. Couldn't have been that bad as he went back. He told everyone he was leaving as he got a job and needed the money so couldn't stay on staff. There was no big deal about it. Why is he making up drama that did not happen?
I never understood the appeal Scientology has for some people on a personal level. I got hold on a copy of "Dianetics' in 1988 as an adolescent (in the GDR even) and saw through the bullshit right away. Took me just a couple of pages. I agree that they're praying on the vulnerable. However, though I would not fall for their BS, I would say I was still vulnerable as a young man. I guess, you've got to be vulnerable a CERTAIN WAY so that you might be in danger becoming a victim of them. 'Victim' I think is the key word here. People who fall for their lies are victims. I don't feel the need for looking down on them, because I was lucky to be vulnerable in a different (maybe just a little less than them) way. If you say that you under no circumstances couldn't have ended up being fooled by them - if you're not vulnerable at all; good for you! But it's the result of lucky circumstances that you happened to grew up in. Righteous anger against that evil cult is necessary to bring it down. Certainly! But equally necessary is empathy and compassion for the victims.
We owned a building in Sunderland that had Scientology as a tenant. After some time they stopped paying rent so we sent the bailiff to East Grinstead and got paid there. The empty offices had a bank of five showers….always wondered what that was about.

I used to walk past that building as an adolescent and I was tempted to go in based on the posters in the window. Thank goodness I was too shy to go in!
Scientology plays on the same impulse that people have for self help books, it's a spectrum obviously but when something appears to help and work it can suck you in.
The fact that David Miscaviage was so threatened by and concerned about Kidman, and seemingly not concerned at all with Holmes, tells u all you need to know about those two very distinctly different marriages.

@@apostatealex Thank you Alex. I had my comments turned off for months and only see this now. Have you been able to unravel the mental effect Scientology had on you yet? Is there an estimated timeline to when I will begin to feel like my kind empathetic former self? I was also part of GAT II
YAY!!! You made it 100K! Congratulations!!
Why did Alex Barnes GO BACK to Scientology after he left the first time? He joined staff TWICE.
Couldn't have been that bad as he went back.
He told everyone he was leaving as he got a job and needed the money so couldn't stay on staff.
There was no big deal about it. Why is he making up drama that did not happen?
so interesting, thanks for sharing 🖤
Fascinating guest Andrew, ❤️ many thanks
I've just found on Google maps the Edinburgh building guess where this SP is going soon 😂
Send pics to Marc Headley for his show.
Ppl still affiliated with Scientology are ridiculous.
Looking forward to it!!
Love this so much!
Best Audio on RUclips!!💥💯💥
Appreciate that! I put a lot of effort into making it look and sound good. :)
@@AndrewGold1 It shows. Well done.
Congratulations on reaching 100K subscribers! ❤😊
Amazing interview. One of the best I’ve watched with a former Scientologist. I always look forward to new posts from both of you.
Glad you enjoyed it!
We owned a building in Sunderland that had Scientology as a tenant. After some time they stopped paying rent so we sent the bailiff to East Grinstead and got paid there. The empty offices had a bank of five showers….always wondered what that was about.
WOW, Joanne I would LOVE to hear more about this - Is there any chance you could get in touch with me please? My email is in the description of my vids & on my channel About page
I used to walk past that building as an adolescent and I was tempted to go in based on the posters in the window. Thank goodness I was too shy to go in!
Scientology plays on the same impulse that people have for self help books, it's a spectrum obviously but when something appears to help and work it can suck you in.
Great interview
Congratulations on 100,000!!!!
Thank you!!

Great stuff. Thank you Andrew
The fact that David Miscaviage was so threatened by and concerned about Kidman, and seemingly not concerned at all with Holmes, tells u all you need to know about those two very distinctly different marriages.
he thought he was intelligent but turns out he was just the opposite.
This behavior reminds me exactly like World Wide Dream Builders Amway…. Cult cult cult
sun shinning in hawaii heavy rain clouds on the mountains, wanna hear this one lol
Well done Andrew 100k.
These critical thinkers, who don’t trust journalists, and think they know it better. Then do their own research and step in the trap! Think on your own isn‘t a good advice to many people!
The "blue building" in L.A. is the American Saint Hill Organization (ASHO), formerly the Cedar-Sinai hospital....
100k, congrats!!
Allegedly Scientology used Parental Alienation to make the children choose To. Who they never see in my opinion
The sheer look of terror on Nicole Ks face and the faces of allllllll the women that were in a "relationship" w Mapother ...puke...😢
Congratulations on 100K!!
🎉🎊 🎉
been passed the plymouth org and seen their stall in the market.
OMG was he gullible. This is painful.
It’s so confusing that the brits call high school, college 😂 can you imagine meeting a young woman/ man/ boy/ girl and they say I’m in college so you thinking they at least 18 or up when they really 15-16 years old 😭
We Brits find it weird when a US adult says they are in school. Schools are for children! So we tend to assume you must be a teacher.
Almost at 100k 🙌
a sociopath created a "bridge" to sociopathy.
Oh, and congrats on the 100k good sir 🎉🥳
I’d love for you to visit a Scientology faculty and share your findings. Thank Andrew
He would only see their public face. Just as newbies only see the surface.
There's not much to see. I visited my local one (in Melb, Aus) and it was pretty dull. Nobody was there, apart from those working. The host followed me around, I watched a few Hubbard videos, read some brochures, flicked through some books, and then left. Lol.
What a bunch of hog wash 😢 good grief
What an interesting interview
Thank you, I'm glad you thought so!
