The thing about astroworld is, it's a perfect intersection between rnb and psychedelic hiphop so it doesnt really matter if it won a grammy or not, it's much bigger than that.
Astroworld was pure destiny. The production could not be a single bit different. But realise how the beats and final mix sound different. Mike Dean really did intend to create a world.
Astroworld is an album that pushed creativity to the limits I wish more artists did the same with their albums just pushing the boundaries of creativity and putting effort into making an amazing experience for an album But unfortunately we see more and more artists making generic music instead of focusing on the experience of the listener and taking stuff to another level
There’s few artists who get the level of attention that make all this work worth it in the end. The goal of music now is to be a tiktok trend; noone will listen to a random dudes album for the “experience”
i disagree I see a lot of artists changing up their aesthetics and vibe to make each album a unique moment or era. and there's just as much good music coming out now as ever
@@iamAJ48 I would argue like many rappers who don't produce themselves, he got a following and the real magic is done by everyone else. Bigger props to those who do everything from the ground up.

Astroworld is one of the most grown Hip-Hop albums to me. I remember first time listening to it I was completely overwhelmed by the production and diversity throughout every single track. It‘s in my top 5 rap albums of all time and prolly my favorite trap album of all time. Had so many good memories with it…
shocks me how industry producers are pretty mid/bad producers in general, OK melodies, BAD mixes, unoriginal components in general, yet there is a mastering engineer who makes it shine
Always interesting and cool to me rappers tend to pick out beats from relatively unknown producers that just have youth and natural raw talent and a unique perspective. Then you get the 60 year old dudes to mix and master and 🔥🔥
Hey man, please upload the uncopyroghted version somewhere, google drive or something please, some parts in the video are silenced that were not before, I come to this video as my only inspiration 🙏🏻 Thank you so much
If we are talking about quality mixed with commercial success then I would agree with you, however I think albums like KSG, Daytona by Pusha T, Igor By Tyler The Creator, and The Forever Story by JID are better albums.

this is actually an amazing video, but everything’s so seamless it’s almost hard to notice. the flow of everything just feels natural

Honestly one of the best "the making of" / tutorial channels I've seen 🙌
insane production, especially on that last part of the song. Sounds like something from the Metroid Prime soundtrack 🤣🤣🤣🤣🪐🪐
This album was so big it now winning the Grammy didn’t effect this album a glare. Best hip hop album of the 2010’s

what a valuable video. and what talented producers who know their way around music theory and the art of music. using the most out of the least notes.

Not true bro. A mastering engineer can never polish a badly mixed song. The song has to be clean to a certain level.
