WARNING: PRETTY LONG. I don't think Ahyeon is overdoing the choreo and overshadowing any member. A lot of haters keep saying she needs to go solo as she always stands out in the group during performance just because she has more energy and her moves are precise. Ahyeon, when standing next to Asa, Chiquita, Ruka and Rami blend so well. These members almost have the same attack to the choreo. However, Pharita and Rora have different attack to the choreo. They are flowy and more on sway and soft while Ahyeon, Asa, Rami, Chiquita and Ruka have more snaps and control where they know where to put emphasis whenever the choreo parts change. Rami is a good dancer, too. She is not just a vocal. She is even a visual. Look at her features. Ruka and Chiquita are undoubtedly great dancers. They can even be a good singer with their vocal range. Ruka's rap is thick and impactful. Chiquita's vocal has texture and recognizable. And both are definitely a visual, too. Really pretty. Asa and Ahyeon are undeniably an all-rounder. Rap. Vocal. Dance. Visual. Stage Presence. So I do not get it why Ahyeon is being singled out as an "overperformer". She is not. Because in this group, 5 members have shown great dance skills. I would even say Rora dances gracefully and she is improving like it is just a piece of cake in every comeback. Pharita has always been graceful and with fluid dance movements more on an elegant attack. Her arms, mid body and lower body may not give so much energy or impact as she is mostly moving to complete the choreo form, but that's her own attack and she also sings high-range. That's her own control. My point is, each member has different attacks on choreo as each of them is aware on what they can do and cannot do. They know their skills better than fans. Hence, it is unfair to keep on criticizing Ahyeon on what she is capable of. She sings high range, she raps and she is energetic on stage with on point facial expressions that when you watch her, your head ticks and your mouth smirks unbelievably. Like you move with her. Her stage skills are very convincing. She is a living proof of "I can sing well even when dancing, a piece of cake". How much effort snd time an idol gives to give a quality performance? What more can you ask for? You picked idols who dance lazily or who lipsync most of the time or who give blank expressions with no stage stage presence, we all have those idols that have been the subject of criticism be it rookie to tenured idols. But look at Ahyeon. She is the "exact opposite" of those other idols who are also criticized due to lack of energy or vocal skills or stage presence. She gives her all. The way she sings always gives me goosebumps especially the part where she was doing a high note with Rami. The way she raps with style and swag, the way she moves her body according to the rhythm, the way she controls her movements so perfectly, the way she utilizes different facial expressions whenever she performs, and the way she captures my heart will always be special. Ever since I saw her on the Last Evaluation video, she was and is still astonishing. She is the 2nd Idol who made me fell in love with her and made me want to support her all throughout her career and life. I’d love to see Ahyeon smile every time I see a video of her. I don't think Ahyeon is overdoing the choreo and overshadowing any member. A lot of haters keep saying she needs to go solo as she always stands out in the group during performance just because she has more energy and her moves are precise. Ahyeon, when standing next to Asa, Chiquita, Ruka and Rami blend so well. These members almost have the same attack to the choreo. However, Pharita and Rora have different attack to the choreo. They are flowy and more on sway and soft while Ahyeon, Asa, Rami, Chiquita and Ruka have more snaps and control where they know where to put emphasis whenever the choreo parts change. Rami is a good dancer, too. She is not just a vocal. She is even a visual. Look at her features. Ruka and Chiquita are undoubtedly great dancers. They can even be a good singer with their vocal range. Ruka's rap is thick and impactful. Chiquita's vocal has texture and recognizable. And both are definitely a visual, too. Really pretty. Asa and Ahyeon are undeniably an all-rounder. Rap. Vocal. Dance. Visual. Stage Presence. So I do not get it why Ahyeon is being singled out as an "overperformer". She is not. Because in this group, 5 members have shown great dance skills. I would even say Rora dances gracefully and she is improving like it is just a piece of cake in every comeback. Pharita has always been graceful and with fluid dance movements more on an elegant attack. Her arms, mid body and lower body may not give so much energy or impact as she is mostly moving to complete the choreo form, but that's her own attack and she also sings high-range. That's her own control. My point is, each member has different attacks on choreo as each of them is aware on what they can do and cannot do. They know their skills better than fans. Hence, it is unfair to keep on criticizing Ahyeon on what she is capable of. She sings high range, she raps and she is energetic on stage with on point facial expressions that when you watch her, your head ticks and your mouth smirks unbelievably. Like you move with her. Her stage skills are very convincing. She is a living proof of "I can sing well even when dancing, a piece of cake". How much effort snd time an idol gives to give a quality performance? What more can you ask for? You picked idols who dance lazily or who lipsync most of the time or who give blank expressions with no stage stage presence, we all have those idols that have been the subject of criticism be it rookie to tenured idols. But look at Ahyeon. She is the "exact opposite" of those other idols who are also criticized due to lack of energy or vocal skills or stage presence. She gives her all. Since you can't ask anything more from her you want her to do less? No way.
Ahyeon, if ever you are reading this, miraculously, I hope you will keep doing things that excite you. Just do you. Whatever kind of "idol" you show you are, there's always criticism. Better just do whatever pleases you and what makes you feel satisfied that you can say "I did my best. No regrets." 💋 😘 Love you, Ahyeon!
