Hello. Your work is remarkable. Congrat. Do you sell the stl to use this handle? Thank you

Thank you, and yes I will be. I already have a version 2 of this that I like much better but I am working out a few quality refinements for the overhang areas during print. My expectation is to have an stl or 3mf for sale as well as the physical product. Trying to get the digital file ready before thanksgiving holidays, if not, it'll be right after and i'll follow up with you, but my intent is to upload it to ko-fi.com/creativecarrs once it is ready.

I assume that this would also work with a recent iphone? Always thought that the bridge was mandatory to be able to scan on mobile with the otter.

@Aledesrochers I would expect so, but I don't have an iPhone to check. Glancing at the Apple store the verbiage gives me hope also. I think the bridge is required for wireless, but hardwired to my phone works great as a mobile solution, at least for me, but it will drain your battery faster without another power supply.

Very cool! If you connect your PC to your phone's hotspot, can the Creality Scan software running on the PC "see" the Otter when it's hardwired to your phone thru the USB hub??

Thanks! For me it does not, galaxy s22+ verizon hotspot to windows PC connected (Tried 2.4 and 5ghz) and it does not show the scanner as connected on the desktop. Now creality does call out wifi 6, and my pc says its wifi 5, so perhaps it'd work with a wifi 6 bridge. So there might be a way to, but I have not found it yet. That being said, scanning from my phone is fast and easy and via wifi/qr code its really easy to transfer the project from my phone to PC for heavy lifting of bigger models. To put into perspective, so far I have scanned the front end of my sprinter van with this setup without issue and plan to try more once I print out some more markers.

I think i'll pick up a USB Wifi 6 adapter and give this a try, its been on my mind anyhow just for the fun of it. If it works, i'll report back.

@@CreativeCarrs thanks for the info, I’ve only had the otter for a week and still learning how it works and navigating the software quirks. Good luck with the Wi-Fi 6 adapter!

Absolutely :). I am certainly still learning myself, it has its nuances (like any tool) but I am learning/refining more each day. I did want to follow up that I tired both a USB wifi 6 usb adapter and found an advanced setting under my phones hotspot to force it to wifi 6 and neither worked. The adapter I expect because it wants/needs drivers installed but the latter suggests to me that the "real" bridge is likely broadcast something specific or rather the desktop is looking for something specific (perhaps a specific IP). I expect someone more familiar or with access to both could create a work around. If I find one, i'll let you know.

can you tell me your app you use for your phone to scan ?
    Thanks you

@ductrinh2854 of course, it's just the "creality scan" app via the play store. The otter connects to the phone with a USB C cable and works. It does use the phones battery though, to power it, which is why I use a powering to instead power the scanner and even charge the phone.
