    Awesome. Found someone selling 2 of them with only 300 miles on them.
    Your review was a great help.

    I’ve been waiting for your review and knew it was coming soon. Love the aesthetic of this bike, especially the racing green. Glad to see it’s a pretty darn decent folding ebike even on that infamous climb. That seals the deal.

    Thanks for that review. This bike is on the top of my list to purchase. Reviews like this are very helpful.

    BOY BUT IS IT LOUD! Looking to buy my first electric bike, never rode any before and this thing is loud! Are they all like that? Thanks for the review, though!

    A friend has both a 26" 750 W fat tire bike for himself (6'2", 200+pounds) and a 20"x4" bike with similar motor for his wife. He confirms that the 20" wheel bike is much zippier and he is not happy about that;-)

    I have a Blix Aveny. Love the bike. It is beautiful. Just a bit too big for a 5"2" petite person. These Blix bikes are made very well and beautifully detailed.
    Could you review the Doheny EZ? That's my next purchase after I test ride if I like it.
    Where is this hill you test ride? City, state

      Thanks for the feedback! Good to get the 5'2" perspective.
      The hill is in St. George, UT.
      Haven't heard of the Doheny before so we'll have to look into it. Thanks for watching!

    That style battery should be very easy to size up to a 17.5 or even 20 ah if you have the seat up off of it.

    thanks for the review...My reason for wanting this type of bike is.. .when traveling, pulling my travel trailer with my F150 crew cab, I can put 2 folding bikes behind the driver seat so they are not exposed to snow, rain and salt while traveling to southern climates in the winter. also not worrying about them getting stolen. I purchased 2 of the original Lectric bikes, 20" fat tire bikes, but they are way to hard to pedal without turning on the battery assist. so they act more like electric mopeds than bikes. I still want to be able to pedal them for exercise.. Would this be a good option? or have you found another brand that you'd recommend? thanks,

      @ElectricBikeReport  2 года назад +2

      This would be a good option. But lighter, and the smaller tires are easier to pedal sans battery than the fatter tires of the XP.

    Great review! We live in Florida and not unable to get to a location for a test ride. I am 5'1. Do you think this bike would be a good fit for me? This is in our top 3 folding e-bikes. The Brompton E-bike and Tern E- bike are our other considerations. Do you have any experience with those other two bikes? If so, what would be your number one?

    • @ElectricBikeReport
      @ElectricBikeReport  2 года назад

      Rank ordering is hard to do. It depends what criteria matters most to you.
      We have more experience witht he blix and the tern. Both are great choices. Tern is pricier, but a premium experience for sure. Blix is a better bang for your buck value.

    Two comments: 1) cables are not hidden into downtube like some other ebikes and 2) why is the headlight so far out on the fender? Could have been on the handlebar and integrate with other cables

    • @dennisluz6453
      @dennisluz6453 11 месяцев назад

      Ok need to revise my earlier comment on cables: it appears that all folding bikes have exposed cables (to provide slack while folding?). Another update: I read another post and the Vika + now has hydraulic brakes, and the reviewer named Shengyi as hub motor mfr. Good to know. Your review is excellent and informative though.

    I like the new geometry of the rear part of the frame. But it sounds like it gained 5lbs from the previous Vika+.

    • @dennisluz6453
      @dennisluz6453 11 месяцев назад

      Can you explain how rear geometry changed and what made it a whopping 5 lbs heavier? Maybe you did not include weight of battery the first time while estimating weight?

    When he says relatively light at 55 lbs - it made me wonder. How heavy are the other ones? I don’t think I can lift 55 pounds into a car. Anyone have any tips? Because if this is “lightweight” I’m in trouble.

    • @ElectricBikeReport
      @ElectricBikeReport  Год назад

      Check out our Lectric XP Lite, Evelo Dash or GoCycle G4 reviews. Those are lighter too, but yes, there are a lot of heavyweight folders so 55lbs is relatively lightweight by comparison.

    • @dennisluz6453
      @dennisluz6453 11 месяцев назад

      I have researched a lot of folding bikes and indeed most of them are heavier. Evelo has a lightweight one but it's features are such that it costs more.
      One solution to weight handling by another person is to purchase a 40-45 gal plastic storage bin with two wheels (available at Home Depot or such places), roll the folded bike into the upright plastic tub container and find or make a simple ramp to slide the tub and bike into the trunk of one's vehicle. Make sure the wheel castors are on the uphill, leading edge when you slide the whole thing up the ramp I saw the person's photo illustration and wish I can find it back somewhere.

    Is there anything similar to this in terms of compactness, weight, and form but class 3? I’m looking for a bike that can actually fold.

      Lectric 2 now updated to v3.0 and much less expensive. Good bang for the buck but I read that the key remains attached to the battery while riding. Theft safety issue?

    • @pippy2334
      @pippy2334 8 месяцев назад +1

      no because when you’re not riding, you can remove the key how could it be a theft safety issue if the key is in when you’re riding
