I do love how Empire soldiers kind of chant for smaller things when compared to the High Elves or Bretonnians. They're just like you and me. Fighting to live, or simply eat for another day. Yet, give a hundred men halberds and they will fight whatever damned soul creeps out of Khorne's fissure. And they will win.
I wonder why everyone is wondering if Lars wife knows if he told his wife? Also got to love the guy who said to keep his friend at the back because he promised his mother he’ll protect him.
I remember hearing the Casper line for the first timewhen I was hovering over a Halberdier unit when I was deploying for an Imperial Fort defence when some Beastmen spwaned out of nowhere with 5 Cygors and attacked. Out of the unit of 120 only 9 survived. I like to think Casper is among them.
@@godlymoose9118 Just imagine. Having to fight Vampire counts to the east, having to fight Chaos tribes to the north that only wish to drink ale out of Imperial skulls, having to fight a nurgle chaos lord who is the center of the empire causing corruption across the empire, having to fight beastmen that stalk the woods of the empire attacking caravens and ect, having to fight all four ruinous powers that want nothing but to destroy EVERYTHING, and yet the Empire holdsfast not giving an inch. It shows how humanity no matter what if our existance is threatened we will stand united to fight the common enemy and how threatening we are when we are united. FOR SIGMAR BROTHER!
When you hear that : it means either you’re having a tough time on the battlefield as the empire, or, you’re killing imperial swordsmen by hundred with Kholek
glad u mentioned it, there seemed to be a problem with sony vegas. But they also mention kruber from the game vermintide 1/2 wondering where he went, and a mention about the sterntower marksmen.
It's organic and realistic to what you'd expect of a human army. Not everyone is going to be getting the complete set, and often that's intentional due to financials or the need for fast moving troops. That'd and the faces here looked grizzled which gives of veterancy vibes, or at least people you'd expect to get things done
@ThaLoser i just started listening to the Gotrek and Felix books, he is SOOO good, he really brings the characters to life and makes them into separate people
This is a great video, But I and many others in the community hope that more soldiers in the empire spoke with an impression of a German or Scandinavian accent instead of the generic British one. In the game series, the knights of Brettonia and the soldiers and lords and heroes of Kislev in the upcoming “Warhammer 3”are shown to be speaking with the impression of a French accent or a Polish or Russian accent for the two factions while most of the Empire have general British accents instead of a impression of an distinctive German and Scandinavian accent
How about you make something that’s as brilliant as Warhammer over in Germany and then we can all moan on in the UK about how the voices are all in German instead of English? Oh no, wait, there’d actually be no point in doing that. We’d just suck it up and carry on with our lives.
@@axelNodvon2047 Im a British Citizen with a Scandinavian mother and I fully agree with what you said. Games Workshop has been burning so many bridges in 2021 with all of their bad, scumbag decisions.
@@georgemorley1029 It is about them going out of their way to make Nations have the accents of the Nations they represent. French for Bretonnia and Polish/Russian for Kislev. Yet there is no such thing for the Empire?
Late reply, but here's the answer: Games Workshop (the guys who made Warhammer) are British, and most companies making Warhammer games in the early days were too, leading to British people being cast for them. This alongside the fact that The Empire is incredibly British in everything besides its Holy Roman Empire aesthetic and government (especially in the lore tabletop RPG versions) has led to a tradition of Empire people sounding British. Creative Assembly are British too, carrying this on further. It's the same story with 40K's Imperium too. You know what they say: write what you know!

Total Warhammer has been amazing, screw GW. Storm of Chaos is the true timeline.
I love how they call Bretonnians yokels with pitchforks and snaileaters. Describes them pretty well!

Strange women lying in ponds distributing swords are no basis for a system of government.
This is what it feels like to be British, backwards with a King

I love all the details on this old art. The new stuff doesn't measure up as well idk why.

In the new stuff they often force the artist to do the tabletop models 1:1, really corporatises the image
10:53 it brings my sadistic instinct When I play every faction but the empire
