Very nice certainly high quality with the recording looks like we're actually out on the road. My 23 year old daughter has special needs, and she loves being driven around, and she also loves watching videos like this she totally loved this thank you for doing this. Sometimes people don't think videos like this don't mean anything, but it does to many people especially those who can't get out this is a way of seeing the sites. God bless.
That's because our oldest "modern" freeway is from the 60's. For decades Phoenicians voted down freeways on the ballot because they feared "becoming another LA". The tunnel at the beginning was open in 1990. That was the last part of interstate 10 to be built, we held it up for years. Over the past 10 years the majority of valley freeways have been built.
Thanks for making this video. I’ve made this exact drive a thousand times and never get tired of it. I’m deployed right now so watching this takes away some of the homesickness 🤣👍🏻
Just for non-AZ natives, the town name is actually Quartzsite -- i.e. Quartz-site. since it was a place where quartz was found. Quartz has veins of gold in it many times and was sought by gold miners. Quartzite is a different more rocky mineral.

I’m moving to Arizona in a week and seeing you drive from Alabama St. (Redlands) all the way to Archibald Ave. (Ontario) is really hitting me emotionally. I’ve grown up here in the inland empire all my life. I’ve loved my home for so many years, but I’m now 31 with a family and California is getting way too ridiculous. I’ll probably come back to this video when I’m out there, but I know I shouldn’t. A man has to leave the past behind and worry about the future.

I just made this trip last week from Austin Texas all the way to Sacramento CA it was very very long but very interesting the worst part for me was the LA rush hour everyone trying to cut each other off and going over 80 it was scary stuff

There's a cute downtown area with vintage shops, coffee houses and nice restaurants, but it's fairly small. It's kind of on the farthest edge of Inland Empire/LA, so if you want to be in the middle of things, not your best bet. But a great spot if you want to get out the city quickly.

Traffic in Arizona has significantly worsened. I moved from Phoenix to Flagstaff back in 2014, and when I returned this year, the traffic was even worse than before. I think we need a high-speed rail from LA to Phx though.
Thank you for making this video. I live in the Midwest and plan to take this drive next month and needed to know if I would have to drive through mountains. I’m more relaxed after viewing this drive.
I quite agree. I once took a trip to New Mexico, Arizona, and Utah. I loved it! The wide and open spaces of the desert just gave me a feeling of freedom. I never did go to California, but I am planning on going after this pandemic is over
It does take 6 hours to drive to Phoenix from Los Angeles. I've taken that drive multiple times, the first time I drove to Phoenix I made a quick trip to The Grand Canyon before returning. I want to return to The Grand Canyon once more before I die!
So when was the inspection station added at the California line? We cruised right through just 10 months before this video and it was like crossing any other state line.
I've lived in the Phoenix valley for 7 years now and there's NEVER a time that I10 through the downtown tunnel is that clear of traffic. AND, the truck traffic is MUCH worse now, what with all the truck hubs built up around here.
When *this* seemed like the worst drive ever to me. Now that I had to be on the road for about three days from Arizona to Maryland, this seems a lot more palatable.
