This 20 years old bike looks much better than any new sport bikes actually on the market. Really a piece of art!

Owned mine since 2006-Never had a problem with handling even on our crappy Welsh roads. I recall reading that Honda offered an option to replace head bearings between ball type and taper rollers. Brakes outstanding. Mine’s had heated grips from previous owner and I fitted a gear shaft stabiliser which definitely improves shifting.

@@hanford_adventures I just looked up for that, idk how much it benefits on 954 compared to e.g. ol' Honda Goldwing. Ain't cheap either.

    • @iantobanter9546

Gear shaft is overly long leading to imprecision. I noted at least one missed gearchange in this video for example. Gilles item is a bit pricey but great quality. Cheaper options are now available on EBay and I recently got one for my 919 which has a similar problem.

The 954 goes where you point it because it has the steering dampener. Sweeping turns at speed especially highway interchanges are sketchy on a 954 without it.
