US Senate candidate profile of Angela Alsobrooks

Angela Alsobrooks is making her first bid for statewide office, saying she's running on her experience and record. The 53-year-old Democrat is in her second term leading Maryland's second-largest county. She's one of the top-polling Democrats in the race to succeed U.S. Sen. Ben Cardin, who announced in May he's not running for re-election to a fourth term. Alsobrooks said she is running on her experience as Prince George's County's former top prosecutor and current chief executive, and she is proud of her record that she said includes new school construction and securing the new FBI headquarters in Greenbelt.
