G'day guys and gals how are you all this week? Great I hope. Today I thought I would add a decent amount of nordic gold to my stack And fill up my treasure chest a bit more. So I've said it before I'll say it again sit back relax turn your mind off And I hope you enjoy today's video. Have a happy safe weekend and talk with you all soon😁👋🏻
I guess he did in early videos long before I started watching, but with the vibe as it’s been, I kind of don’t want to ruin the mystery. Took me by surprise, and it amazed me how far down I had to look before I found this first comment about it.
Dunno about anyone else, but I'd certainly be intrigued by the walk-through of the house. We've seen so many partial views of individual rooms, putting them all together would be kinda satisfying.
Happy Birthday, my dude! You could TOTALLY do something like this, especially with BigstackD's videos to help you out. :D I've been wanting to get into blacksmithing and melting, and as for the melting part, I already feel like I've learned a lot from him, and I've been watching for less than a year. For what it's worth, I believe you can do it, man! :)
I’m so thankful that you continue to post, even during upheaval. I think most people would be understanding with a “no videos this month” post, if you ever have too much going on for melting and casting. I am emotionally invested. I really want Ingot and Bullion to be back with you. I’ve had to live away from pets before and it’s hard on everybody. I also am excited to see you reach the target weight, whenever we get there. I really enjoy your videos. Thanks for making them!
@@sapper69s Eh, I lean towards the “dramatique,” so maybe my comment is intense. But in my experience, moving and selling a home is incredibly stressful. I’m just grateful that Big StackD is willing to continue posting.
As a Frenchman living near the battlefields of the Somme, I take advantage of this video on the day of the armistice of WW1 to thank the Australians for their sacrifice in order to liberate my region and our cities. Eternal memories...
I have always wondered why guys/gals that do this don’t melt the high-temperature metals first and then add in the other metals afterwards. Is there a specific reason for this, I wonder?
Also yes love to see the old house walk through before it’s gone but that’s because I’m a contractor and we build custom homes. Definitely love seeing homes.
I just started blacksmithing on an old forge from 1817, (upgraded the pipe.. besides that its all almost from that eara) I started this just because of your videos, i love them! Looking forward to every friday to see what you are up to.. I just made my first item wich was a Bottle opener.. Simple, i know.. but so much fun to learn about heat, patience and the fun of seeing something develop from a something, to another something!
No that is cool... I have watched forged in fire since it first started. I would love to be able to do this. Just do not have the room or the $$$ for it. I look forward to Friday and his video's also. First time in a while that I have been home on a Friday and can catch first thing in the AM. Lately I have needed to wait til the evening to watch. Thank you again for what you do BIGSTACK D.
A walk thru of the old digs would be great! We have seen bits and pieces over the years but I know I'm not the only one who's curious! :) The new shop is awesome and the property is beautiful!
Crazy seeing the old shop all cleared out. Also, you had a lot of great colors in this video. The green grass, the gold, and the copper pieces after you hammered them flat.
It's amazing how small the old garage looks with nothing in it, you expect an open room to be well... roomy, but it actually looked more spacious when sectioned off and items on the walls.
Great video! While watching you cut and flatten the copper, I was thinking it wouldn't be too hard to make a setup to flatten the pipe and cut it into 6" or 8" pieces. Hook a couple of 8" circumference wheels up to a little Briggs and Stratton, put a blade on the wheels so it cuts every rotation, and run the copper between the wheels. Take a bit of finessing, but it should be doable.
@@joeyda3rd ah. I used to be a small engine mechanic, so my mind went to the trusty Briggs. Lol! But an engine would tend to mess up the laid-back atmosphere of the videos.
21:33 YESSSS! A walk-through! Those DID come out great! I prefer cleaned, but I like them all! The boys got a green treat today! I can tell Ingot likes the meaty treats better! LOL My girl loves the bunny at the end!🐇 Thanx for a great vid D!😁

Hi, I am not sure to understand your comment. If by screenshot you mean the part where it says 896kg and 1971lbs then you can see at the bottom of the screen that the target is 1000kg. That's 104kg or 229lbs more and not 29lbs like you said.
Awesome new place mate. We just sold our little farm in Nannup. Your new property reminds me of it. It was a regrettable sale I miss it so much. I’m sure your gonna be happy as hell out there.
You should fence in that area infront of the shed and make it into a doggo paradise, maybe add a couple nice doggy bachelor pads, so they can relax and watch you work.
Ahhh a Bigstack video to wind down before a late night. Cheers, and thanks for all the great videos, mate. Also, A house walkthrough could be interesting, but I feel like all we'd see are your awesome socks.
You almost hit all the high spots in this one: Melting (goes without saying) - check; ingot casting - check; snack (looked delish!!!) - check; mold casting - check; and last but not least, Ingot and Bullion - check and check. The only thing missing was sand casting, but I've seen a few and I'm not sure it would be a profitable venture to try...perhaps I'm wrong. Lastly, two questions and they've always been present but forgotten - until today: 1 - If Zinc burns off, is it necessary to even put it in Nordic Gold? 2 - Do you wear the respirator for ALL melts, or only for Nordic Gold? I'm trying to convince my wife that this would/could be a profitable venture...salvaging electric motors and then melting down Al and Cu. She's actually thinking about it...Keep 'em coming!!! G'day mate!
I’ve been melting on and off for a year with a single crucible. I’ve got about 10 Aluminum ingots and one copper ingot. That’s not including my mess ups. As you can see, his #4 is damn near falling apart. Mine is still looking good. So you can get quite a bit of life out of one crucible.
Oohhhh you slipped up and spoke in this one lol. Been a long long time since that happened. Here some guys have man caves, but you went out and built yourself a ManCastle

Thanks so much for my usual Friday evening enjoyment. I love when you make Nordic gold it’s my favorite next to aluminum because it’s so shiny and is like a liquid mirror when melted. Loving the new shop, didn’t know it came with a new house too. That’s a bonus you don’t see often. 🤙🏼🤩

Loving the descending notes as you cut the copper pipe
Hello from the USA on this Veterans Day. I agree with you that the unpolished look better.
Thank you for the on-screen text about Nordic gold losing some of its color/shine after cleaning. I thought I was doing something wrong when I saw that on my first pour and went to clean and it got duller.
You've been a great inspiration. I started my treasure room too, although not as fancy as yours. You and E-waste Ben have a special skill and you guys are both from Australia.
Thx for another good one. Excellent editing, at some point between cutting and compressing I swear I heard a tune. Love the color of Nordic gold. Thx again bruv
Great melt and yet another relaxing episode. Those coins turned out great. I love the colour of that Nordic gold. 🇸🇪
Of course we want to see the house we were never shown. 😂
Have a great weekend! ☀️
