I find it interesting that you actually don't enjoy the Mcfarlane line, As a customizer I find it a joy to work with them, Mcfarlane has so much detail sculpted in, due to it being a mass produced line, expecting it to be all painted isnt a realistic expectation, however customizers really make these things look amazing, here with Mr. Freeze theres so much sculpted into the arms, chest and lower torso that you can pick out with paint to add depth, something ML is sorely missing out on, you also get a whole new sculpt with most figures. They have their shortcomings for sure, but I'd be really interested to here more in depth why you seem to dislike them so! Victor looks great here btw! Thanks for the vid!
I'll give them the detail part, it's great to have dedicated sculpts. Unfortunately that also leads to a lot of inconsistencies regarding proportions and scale. A lot of figures don't scale with one another, every Batman figure is of different height for example. Sometimes the legs are too long, sometimes they're too thin, stubby arms, orangutan arms etc. Not saying Legends are perfect, but I think as an overall line it works better within itself than McFarlanes DC figures.
Like all ml spiderman are different size😅. But yeah I got your point, for me getting Marvel Legends and McFarlane toys is frustating but I don't have all the money for a full mafex collection@@VADtoys
Warner Bros has banned McFarlane from including weapons on his figures, even the firefly figure they are re realeasing has an empty holster with no flame thrower. Every figure that has come with its iconic weapon, has been redesign to not even looke like a gun at all (Captain Cold or Heatwave for example). I was honestly surprised when i saw that Mr Freeze had he's gun, but I guess he had to glue on the ice effect in order to get warner bros approval. Something similar happened with Blue Beetle, he's gun had a weird (and unaccurate), grappling hook effect attached just so it was exrtremily clear that it wasn't a gun.
Got reminded of the Toy Maker scene from Toy Story 2 who cleans up Woody and repaints him. Felt so satisfying to see you color in the details on his suit. Always bothered me as a kid to see figures with details that wouldn't have killed the company to paint.
The nose adds so much personality and the eyebrows turned out well. Edit: you just a huge drive repainting the body as well. Honestly I don't collect Mcfarlane but they seem hit or miss even accepting the scale. This is a good example of a figure that seems unfinished.
I wasn’t gonna get this fig but did and this figure is good for mcfarlane dc, ur right but just buy the dc direct 6 inch scale ones of the animated series, I got Batman, joker, just got two face from the second wave
Something I personally hate about mcfarlane is the poor character selection like you’ll get the most obscure character in main waves then get a character you really want but there exclusive or there in short supply like the Hal Jordan green lantern and light blue superman I only got was because of extreme luck
You can totally convert that headsculpt into Eustace from Courage just by putting a hat on him.😂
😂😂

Looks great! On mine I dry brushed a little off-white in the plastic dome to make it look frosted over.
That’s a pretty great idea! I remember the old DC Superheroes Mattel figure did that too!

I almost broke the ice blaster at first thinking the ice blast effects come off
It looks amazing. I do have a question, is it possible to make Batman in the style of Marvel Legends? I think itd look cool

Nice custom, looks like more of a patrick Stewart mr freeze.
I think the Mcfarlane DC figures could work with the Marvel Select figures they are in the same scale after all
No, they are definitely not the in the same scale.
Sure. But DC Mcfarlane is the evolution of DC direct since 25 years ago. Have nothing in common with Marvel Select except the scale. 😳
@@houseofmmm?
They look great next to selects, I have the PS4 spiderman re-release right next to my Arkham City Batman. They scale well.
