- This video covers in detail how to build the basic test circuit found in the datasheet of the ICL-8038. I am using the DSO Shell oscilloscope which is a cheap and descent scope for basic projects in the KHz range. You can use either 2 9v batteries or a power supply to power this circuit, both are covered in the video. This circuit draws about 10mA of power.
I couldn’t believe it when you brought out the kitchen knife 😂 Electronics on a budget
!
I can't find your follow-up "Audio Generator" video :(
Will this circuit work with non-bipolar power supply?
great video.
i would like to know how to change the amplititude and to make offset
alon shalmon to increase the amplitude just take the output of the icl-8038 and put it to the input of a class A transistor amplifier (a simple one works fine). To offset to where you have a fully positive sine wave take the output of the ice-8038, run it through a decoupling capacitor into the middle of 2 resistors (voltage divider). Replace one of the resistors with a potentiometer to adjust the offset. I used that method to drive a VCO to make a bandwidth generator before.
Hello friend, I am doing the same implementation but when I try to measure the signal it comes out flat as if it was not oscillating. I am connecting the positive of the oscilloscope to pin 9 and the negative to which the voltage source provides me since I do not have a virtual ground. Do you know why that happens?

Sir, which device is this that u used in place of CRO.?
does it must to use voltage regulator ?
You can use batteries if you want
