Seen him do slide off of your satin sheets thinking this guy could cut this and put it out... years later met him after the show at the soaring eagle casino bar very humble down to earth guy
I saw this country music legend about a half dozen times from 1972 to about 1992, and I am still in awe when I think about just how great a singer George Jones was. These young country artists that we have today spend most of their time putting on cowboy boots and hats!
I know this video is old but I didn’t realize that it was on I remember w😢they live at farm Aid George Jones was a great legend of country music now he is with the other legend’s now they are looking down to see how Willie Nelson is doing ❤ hope Willie Nelson will live his best life with his family and friends ❤️
Never heard this song. Love that the guy could make fun of his famous rep for missing shows and drinking too wildly (He even made fun of the Lawnmower incident in some songs). Today's hot new country singers are not worthy to shine this legend's shoes much less "fill his shoes" R.I.P George Jones
Jan Leonhardt There are no more country singer's that can come close to George Jones. There's no one to carry on this tradition of pure talent. So, "WHO'S GONNA FILL HIS SHOES", because "COUNTRY ISN'T COUNTRY ANYMORE".
l agree with you, indeed George Jones is a great and talented artist who's songs never goes out of style, he's one of my favorites artist, he's songs still and always heals the Soul, I pray God gives you lot of beautiful days….
My buddy Bobby Jones would walk into the shop the day after taking a personal holiday signing this song. Everyone would laugh and I would say. Welp I can't take a day off and come in the next day singing They call me no show webb lol my boss used to tell guys that missed work on Friday the day after payday to go ahead and take all of next week off. He meant it and no better way to punish a man than taking a week's pay from him. Do I have some stories 😊 it would be a great book but an ever better movie.
Saw him twice last time choices had just came out that tune should have went down as a great one but Nashville had changed by then nobody wanted to hear or play pure gold oh well younger crowd way it goes 😢
Drummer is mark dunn from maryville, tennessee. Started off as a die hard rock and roller and nothing could change that, except george jones. One of the best, no matter what style he is playing.
