I feel sad for Lena because she probably never had a sibling relationship like the girl and her brother Alex. I had a similar thing happen when I became an adult my mom was like “you’re an adult, you’re on your own” emotionally speaking she’s like it’s not my job to be there and listen and be a shoulder to cry on.
Her mom was the same way, she’d call her, talk to her about her struggles and was told “figure it out”
She also told me it’s weird and not normal for a child to be concerned for their parent, after speaking to a psychologist and relaying to my mother that actually it is VERY normal, she was completely shocked and was like “really?”

The recommended wait time to engage in a serious relationship is about 3 yrs. The dad rushed into a new marriage in less than 1 yrs without receiving any counseling to deal with his grief over losing his wife and it cost him all around important relationships especially with his 2 biological children. If he had gone for therapy he would have learned healthy coping mechanisms that would help him heal; maintain good relationships with his children and be in a more emotionally secure place in his future relationships.

Sounds like the dad is reaping the fruits of his actions, so understandable that he’s realized he’s lost out. He never really worked through his grief and may have rushed into the relationship with Lena. She probably looked like she had her life together when he felt like his was falling apart. Therapy would help him.
Lena too got what she thought she wanted: the dad, her Zoe and the husband. She pretty much bullied the previous kids out because they wouldn’t bow to her rule of the household. Lena was jealous of op and Alex's relationship. She wanted to be the new mom, but them reminiscing about their real mother made her upset. It's like she saw Alex as the fence between her and her goal. He was older and couldn't be manipulated into being her son, so she was trying to control the younger kids.
This must be narrated A.I., because humans have to breath which means a pause sometimes during the course of the narration. But this female A.I., it's voice just drones on and on and it's not even close to the way humans talk .
By my opinion, the problem is that Lena wanted to be OP's mom, or at least athority figure immideatly.
After a certain point you can't introduce a new parent figure to a child, and they have to just be a trusted adult. Yes, that adult should be an athority figure in the long run, but not immideatly, and it should be a slow transition, especially if they have a way different parenting style.
Lena was was OP's step-mom, and she should have acsepted that. She went in and tried to erase the real mom from the house. Yes, getting into a ready made family is hard, but if you trie to replace the parent missing from said family it will only be harder, and you will only make sure the children from that family will despise you.
She went in and tried to parent a fucking 12yo. That's probably the worst possible age you can introduce a new athority figure anyways, let alone a parent figure. Not to mention she just lost her real mom 2 years ago. A mom is one of the most important people for a child, and she didn't even get the chance to reach the point where friends become more important than parents. Puberty is hell to begin with, but imageine stepping into it after just coming out of mourning, and suddenly a woman appears trying to replace your beloved mother.

OP seems to grasp her situation well and has a fair judgement. She’s attached to her brother because he was the one who took care of her while the father was busy taking care of their sick mother. She never said step mother was neglectful, if any she was too involved in her care. It seemed the father basically married the stepmother to do his dirty job at raising his kids with rules that he’s too coward to impose himself. He probably told each one of them what they wanted to hear without actually following through his promises to them. He probably told the stepmom he wanted more kids but needed to focus raising their children, he told the daughter he chose her but didn’t do anything to alleviate the tension between OP and stepmom.
