I first heard about this place on the TV show Ghost Hunters. During the Halloween season, they set up haunted houses there. It's called Halloween Nights.
As a person from Philly we welcome you and hope u return and maybe visit places outside the city there is the king of purssia mall and casino which are great places ❤
I grew up about 10 minutes away & my cousins live right across the street. The best time to go to Eastern State is during Halloween! I had a couple friends that worked in the haunted house while we were in high school & they told us how scary it was before/after people left. It’s supposedly really haunted.
As a native Philadelphian and a local tour guide I love that you went here. It's definitely a popular spot but so many people still miss this when they come to the city. Definitely an amazing piece of local, national, and international history.
I loved going to the Eastern State Penitentiary! The view into what it was like to be imprisoned back then truly shows the horrid conditions for the regular inmates. Capone’s room is so interesting to see how comfortable he lived while being there. The center point in the cell blocks was my favorite part of the prison seeing what a guard back then would’ve seen truly adds so much.
Great filming Gaynor as always! I'm curious if Daz or Aidan has ever seen Shawshank Redemption. Side note in the early 1900's prisoners were served lobster because it was considered to be garbage food, lol.
It cracks me up that I have Brits as tour guides to a place in Philly I’ve never been. Love it. Hope your trip was amazing. P.S. I’m waiting on that NYC bagel video. Please tell me you had bagels when you were there?!
I've toured the old Ohio Pen in Mansfield where they shot Shawshank Redemption and from the outside it looks quite stunning , like a castle, but inside it's a totally different story. Those were some harsh conditions that prisoners lived in. Cells that were intended for one ended up housing three. It ended up closing because of overcrowding and poor condition
I have yet to visit there. I live about 55 miles Northwest of Philly. Yes, they had many suicides and people going insane. It was supposed to be a true penitentiary where criminals could reflect on their behavior and change. I believe it was designed by a British man. Unfortunately many with this design were built around the world.
That sign saying ...' have you ever broken the law'..... I guess so being i definitely was an underage drinker along with half the damn country!🍻 lock me up!🤘

Well shot, edited, and narrated! 👏👏 🍻
I’m mad I’ve only been for the Halloween Haunted House part, never the legit day time tour.
Imagine if those walls can talk.
Wow I went to college at Temple and I never been. 👍🏽
Amazing video, love this kind of original content y’all make!
I hope you enjoyed your time in Philly! Come back in the summer and I’ll take you to a Phillies game and a tour of Citizens Bank Park.
I'd like to see some kind of tour of Manchester in the UK. I'm honestly curious how it looks.
Why am I learning U.S. history from a family of Brits? smh lol

Enjoyed this very much!
Great video. Live not far in South Jersey but never been.

Steve Buscemi doing the audio tour is so random haha His voice is so distinctive.
That narration is at least a decade long but totally random. I don’t even think there’s a connection between him & Philly or a movie there.
Animal Factory
Luxury, mate.

This place is supposedly one of the most haunted places on the planet.
I've seen Al's cell at Alcatraz. It's way smaller.

I would drive down from north jersey in high school to go to the haunted house they would have at that prison during Halloween.
hilarious thumbnail lol
I went there over night for a “ghost hunt “ caught some pretty incredible stuff I have video of.
I always knew that Daz fellow was up to no good 😂
daz u fit right in on that thumbnail its criminal
Not the oldest prison in the US
Most interesting prison to visit in the U.S. is Alcatraz, in the bay next to San Francisco. Iconic. Must reserve months in advance.
The modern US prison system is still sad and needs reform, it’s essential a business now.
4:19 What was that noise? It sounded like someone dropped something in water.
Ghost it up
I always think, man daz looks familiar. But i think im just thinking of Ricky Jerv
you guys went to prison? did you try to feed someone beans on toast?
