It’s funny because i thought it was just me confused at that part to the point i had to read it over.honestly i like the book i just don’t love it.i think it’s because i like the art but the story is ok at best in my opinion but I’ll continue it to see where it goes but this doesn’t feel like a x-men book at all.
I realized this series reminds me of Teen Titans Earth One were you take an established hero team on a different earth and do a more Runaways style take leaving out some iconic members. Though even though TT Earth One had 4/5 of the cartoon Titans some people still were demanding the sidekicks be involved even if it involved versions who never met their mentors, which the book eventually did do and think that's when it dropped the ball. I get this isn't a traditional X-Men but it is trying something new with X-Men characters who don't get as nowhere near as much spotlight as your Wolverines or Cyclops or Storms. I get why people love these characters but also frustrating when you can easily find these characters elsewhere (especially Wolverine) and very least trying something new that feels similar but different in it's own way. The panel order/flashback had me re-reading a bit. Felt like playing with story structure and exposition. Funny you mentioned Chainsaw Man as, recent controversies aside, its story pacing reminded of this and other manga. A couple chapters are slow paced and mainly talking about what to do with at least Momoko been giving some plot and action.
THe only thing I was confused about was where the villain kid went at the end, but thinking on it now the shadow guy has had stuff dissapear before, so it might not be happening except in Armor's mind. Considering all the shadows around I think there's a high chance we're dealing with the Ultimate Shadow King, so there's a lot of mind screwery going on with Hisako.
So this issue is surprising. 2:15 Jim, I meant to tell you this on your recent anticipated comics video. Ultimate X by Jeph Loeb. The one with Jimmy Hudson. Later on all those characters from that comic call themselves *The Runaways.* Jimmy Hudson, Jean Grey in her Karen Grant alias, Liz Allen as Firestar, Guardian(a completely original character that Jordan White unfairly murdered in X men blue, F U Jordan white) and Hulk. Yes 1610 Bruce Banner was part of the Runaways. 2:32 Logan is dead in 6160 accept it b!¢hes. I’m joking only on the b!¢hes part, but seriously Logan shown to be dead in Ultimate’s free comic book day. Hahahaha Chainsaw man broke the internet. 4:18 When I read the preview of this comic I thought that kid in the Green poncho was Rogue. I don’t think it was clunky At first you think Armor went back home it did transition that she had never went home, it was in her head, that is most the point why the panels went dark, because the shadow is there. That is great scene for telepath powers reading into someone’s mind and memories. The audience see the Hisoka’s memory through Amano’s/the Shadow’s eyes. Or interception The shadow wants Hisako to think she went home. Because why would Hisako’s mom mentioned that scratch on the motorcycle? Her husband motorcycle. Hisoko’s dad has never appeared throughout this arc Armor remembering the boy Amano is where he has to engage because Armor is gonna fight in the in her mind. *I am pretty positive that it is common knowledge that The Shadow/The Shadow King, a telepathic entity cannot time travel.* Like you read naruto, yes? Gen-Jutsu is part the illusion messing with people mind. I would to imagine that while Hisoka is driving her “Psionic Armor” is moving with both it arms like a gorilla. It seems the tendrils are attached to the Shadow. Armor can touch shadow. But really nice how Shadow using mind game to mess with Armor. Because remember in issue 2 where Armor reminiscing about Tsubasa there was a shadow on her face. And in her memory The Shdoaw’s Giant Eye appeared in the sky. The Shadow is messing with Hisako. Remember last issue when the cat starched MayStorm and her power manifest we saw the shadows on her face and the Shadow’s eye. I said it before this comic is just like the Legion tv show. It is most likely Peach Momoko is a fan. I mean Shadow King messing with people’s minds, MayStorm power’s destroyed the kitchen just like Legion did In episode 1 and now fighting in the Mind? Legion Fan 100% 14:25 It is cool that Surge appeared. And she eating electricity? That is new. The main 616 Surge can’t do that. It make sense for Surge hiding in that balcony. Surge can’t get wet. The water will literally kill her. Since the video still upload on the internet it could that Surge might’ve done it because she did record what happen to Hisako. Also good thing too, the video will get Sunfire, Silver Samurai and Viper’s attention. MayStorm did heard Nico said “I knew she was a mutant” so Nico will definitely be more involved next issue. Man MayStorm was very lucky that she didn’t kill anyone by electrocution. Do you think Peach Momoko gonna make Surge a villain? Because the August solicit show Surge and Glasses-Kun at the top Juxtaposed Halves. Personally I like see how this goes. As I am the one who suggested a heroic Sabretooth should join the current Ultimate instead of Obviously T'challa. Because Wolverine is permanently dead in Earth 6160 16:28 I am an expert on Surge. She did ran away from home because of her father not believing in mutants. Since Earth 6160 Xavier School and X Men doesn’t to give her guidance, Surge might’ve fallen into a bad crowd in Japan, rather going to the United Nations. This makes a good foil between MayStorm and Surge. Both of them can use electric powers and both of their dads are strict, stoic assumedly bad people. I wonder who helps Surge to control her powers by giving her those rings? Because as Shay did say, Earth 616 Beast gave Surge her gauntlets to help control her powers. Oooh What if there is character that is akin to Dark Beast from Age of apocalypse. There no sign of Xavier in 6160 so 6160 Beast will become insane just like Dark Beast because he has no guidance. It might been the same with 6160 Surge she didn’t have guidance unlike her 616 counterpart. But, Peach Momoko please don’t disrespect Surge just like Steve Foxe and Stephanie Willaims did in their X Men infinity Unlimited 100. Jim you’re not X Men expert but I’ll feel what Foxe and Williams done was pure spit on Surge, and proof they got their knowledge of comic from Twitter alone not reading them. Seriously F Steve Foxe and F Stephanie Willams. I just frustrating these hacks get the write marvel but the read what on twitter rather than Real comics they can get for free. And the question is Glasses kun a red herring? I say before that Glasses kun was in the Juxtaposed Halves with Surge in solicits of issue 6. So what is his goal? He could be the reason why Hisako can’t remember him. The shadow might use his telepath powers to not make Hisako remember him. Reason why Amano who The shadow impersonates to be engage and grabs Hisako Personally thiI feel like this 1st arc of series could just been bi weekly or in a trade rather than a monthly. Just like Ultimate Invasion. 18:26 And 6160 Logan is permanently dead. I’ll give this issue a 7.5 out of 10. Finally some stakes 1:29 I actually hope Wes read this. Because I am annoyed that he over exaggerated and made up a lie about Peach Momoko’s Version of Armor is not a mutant. Wes should not go against common sense and making stuff up.
Given this series is very focused on Japanese Mutants I wonder if Logan's son Akihiro (if he was conceived in this universe) will show up and be just this universe's Wolverine with no evil gimmick and be a gruff mentor type or be a teen and be used for romance fodder. I want to say removing Logan completely is a gutsy move but he's the freaking Wolverine and even when he was dead in 616 variants of him were still running around. Speaking of Rogue there was a girl in green and a white hair streak on the cover but don't think she showed up in the book. I remember Wes saying that, I was under the impression that he misunderstood and thought Armor got her powers from her trinket. I know I've seen some come to that conclusion as well.
The only thing the FCBD book shows is the Weapon X Adamantium skeleton. Logan was not born with that Skeleton. It means nothing other than he probably doesn't have the adamantium.
@@valiantparagonvideos2383 Yes, Logan wasn’t born with Adamantium but the skeleton is called from Weapon X the government that Logan joined to be experiment on. Why would The Maker have “the skeleton” of Adamantium instead of the material itself? The Maker only took the Spider that supposed to bite Peter Parker but The Maker didn’t killed Peter. Logan does poised a threat to The Maker just like the other heroes including Sentry and Black Bolt who are both Dead as well. Luckily The Golden Age Human Torch is still alive cause he is a robot.
@@commonsense5199 The Weapon X skeleton is iconic in its own right and AFAIK often shown outside of Logan. It certainly makes sense that he would kill him if he could, but it may not have been possible. Logan's history may have diverged to the point he wasn't in the same places. Like I'm not saying that Wolverine is 100% alive, but I just wouldn't read too much into the Weapon X skeleton since that's not an integral part of his body.
I gave this series up to issue 4 to get interesting and as I suspected I would be, I am still thoroughly uninterested in what's going on in this series. The art is terrible and the story is mediocre. I'm dropping it but I've been loving Ultimate Black Panther, Spider-Man so far and The Ultimates #1 👍🏽.
Wow, I respect your opinion, but I feel like you are disrespectful. How the way you said marvel can shove it with, imo cool ideas of this new ultimate lineup. But it's great you voice your opinion.
@@tyresselittle747 I'm blunt. The new ultimate line is disrespectful of the legacy. This ultimate X-Men is essentially a manga, not X-Men. Cool idea, poor execution; it's a disservice to this comic because they couldn't just make a new line, they had to name it X-Men to try and sell it. Same with ultimate Spiderman, instead of giving readers what they actually want to see in the main series, they give us some ultimate line. I'm through with scraps from Marvel. It's an abusive relationship at this point.

it all has to do with the overall world as well - Storm is in Black Panther and Wolverine seems to be dead

This "ultimate X-Men" is embarrassing. This makes the previous ultimate X-Men look good.
