I hope this helps whoever reads it. These are Action Steps: I followed this for 30 days. My goal was to change my self image and it worked. This is what I did.
    1. Write out a statement of your Short Term Goal AND your Chief Aim/Main Goal... on a "goal card" or paper.
    2. Write it out 50 times a day for 30 days preferably around the same time each day. After the 30 days, you go back and write it out ONCE a day. This is your compass in life.
    3. Set your phone alarm to go off every 3 hours (to disrupt your daily routine) and when it goes off write down your statement and then close your eyes and see yourself with your goal for 2 mins.
    4. Record your statement in your voice on a voice recorder on your phone, and play it back to yourself on loop while you sleep and as often as you can daily, example... in the shower or when you are using the rest room.
    5. Find an accountability partner. If you cannot find someone, then you MUST write out your statement DAILY. By doing this you make yourself accountable to YOURSELF.
    6. Find a community or FB group/group chat, etc and from that community form a Mastermind with one or two people who have studied from REAL Mentors and are giving VALUE. There is a "Law of Giving" and many people are using it. Andrew Carnegie told Napoleon Hill this back in the early 1900s. Its a LAW and it works. Its what I am doing with this post.
    7. Auto-Suggest (Think and Grow Rich Chapter 4) to yourself in front of the mirror in the bathroom at least twice a day. Look directly INTO your eyes OR one eye and recite your WRITTEN statement. Then splash cold water on your face. This sudden shock seals the thought into the subconscious due to emotional and physical shock from the cold water.
    8. Write out ten "I AM" statements a day. example. I AM happy, I AM more confident. Use the word MORE; implying you already have it, but want more. You trick the brain.
    9. Write out 5 things you HAVE that you are grateful for and 5 things that you are grateful for that are coming to you. Mix up the list one after the other.
    10. When in public tell people you see that you love them in your mind. Simply say "I LOVE YOU" to them as you pass them, especially when driving, because their subconscious hears and FEELS the intention. Say it to about 10 to 15 people daily. This increases your Good Karma.
I hope this helps at least two people.
It might seem like a lot. But it took me less than two weeks to incorporate the list into my life and 32 days later I started getting massive results.
    Thank you for reading.

I've never felt envy in a negative way. Like when I see someone driving a Ferrari I think, "damn, I want that car," and then admire the car and look at the person driving with a well done expression like telling them to enjoy on my behalf. I don't get people that are hateful towards others because of their achievements or possessions. Actions are much more important imo

    • @spicy-peach
      @spicy-peach Месяц назад

I am a health and life coach and I, personally, like to think of envy as someone wanting what you have directly as you have it whereas jealousy is someone wanting what you have, indirectly, in their own lives.
EX: A woman sees a man and woman happy together. Kissing, holding hands in public, he tucks her hair behind her ear, no care who's watching. This woman looking on suddenly feels that feeling of envy in her stomach. Her attention is now focused on the man and she thinks to herself about how maybe if she has that specific man, he will do these things with her and she will also have that kind of love. HOWEVER, if that were jealousy, she would be both jealous and admiring what she sees. A healthy and happy couple - and may think to herself, "I want what they have." And will now start looking for someone who matches those qualities RATHER than going straight for the "source". Envy is seeing what someone has and wanting it for yourself even if that means taking it from another (the lack of admiration/respect). Jealousy is wanting what someone has as your own, for yourself, while admiring/appreciating that they have it for them.
Jealousy is healthy and shows you care about the evolution and upgrading of yourself and others - envy is unhealthy and shows you are unbalanced in your own mind/heart/finances/life/etc.

too be honest there is so much info in this video that this brings confusion IMHO: you can't know all that, apply what's inside in automatic mode when people behave in front of you.
The advice to get IMHO is to surround you with people you feel good about and with and let others live their life the way they want while avoiding them: if you can't stand them and they can't stand you why bothering? There are 7.5 billions people out there, just find your tribe and enjoy being with them. Same at work: if you can't stand people, slam the door, find another job: same as with people, there are thousands of jobs and companies.
Be selective and deal with those you like, life is short, don't spend your time with people you don't like or who don't like you.
Same with products, services: be selective. Choose what you are in resonance with.

Robert Greene stands out in the crowd for a reason. His research and work into the books are based on what he has studied. I have started reading some books that are over 100 years old. They were much more forward about topics we avoid today. What we avoid does not go away. It shows up somewhere different, usually much less directly and very unpleasantly.
    law 48 is extremely useful.

Two people have a crash. One is angry about their car being totaled. The other is grateful that he still alive. If the person that is angry in the wrong?
What if the person that was grateful to still alive was the one that caused the accident and has no insurance. Would you still believe the person that is angry is in the wrong?

When people are stressed, they show you nothing more than their ability or their inability to handle stress. The idea that they show you 'who they really are' is again a mythical notion, as people can learn to manage stress. It's like saying that we only see the real person when that person is relaxed and having fun without any stress or inhibitions. In fact, this is more or less what the video just implied a few minutes ago, when it talked about 'wearing masks' and 'social roles' supposedly hiding our real selves. A person is not defined just by they handle stress, nor how they act when they are completely relaxed, instead they are defined by how they behave in general over a long period of time, under the multifarious situations they encounter in their life.

Haven't watched this video by the way. John C. Maxwell does a better job. Real quick: be yourself, however if you are weird, or morbidly weird. Stop that crap. Learn soft skills, be likable. You don't need to suck up. Not every situation helps your agenda to get where you need to be. You need to be liked by the right people. Figure out who the most influential person is in the place your at and be liked by them. Help elevate them they elevate you. If they go against what's right. Do not challenge them. Do what's right and gain trust from the majority. They will expose themselves. Meaning the person who is bad. Never expect or think you have achieved the pinnacle of leadership. Leadership is growth and on going. But how you respond to individuals and crowds make you effective. There is no secret. If you can charm and entice people you have a good chance. Remember always be honest. Be confident in your decision. Even if it's wrong. Always use modulation in your speech. Never be monotone. And be exciting.

I would concur with Most of your videos but the Idea that we are heading towards a society that's moving away from logical thought, study and ultimately discovery and instead moving more towards psychological inquiry is hard for me to wrap my head around. Two reasons being. We can explain the psychologically inquiry and how our own minds essentially use tricks to alter reality to benefit ourselves and make it easier for us to navigate the world we live in. And secondly I don't believe it's possible for anyone to know how much or what we don't know, however I may be just as biased as you. LOL

That is straight up horrible and evil advice. Obviously we should not conform to worldly stariotipes about what makes a man a man or a woman a woman but we do need to accept the reality that men can not become women and women can not become men.

People have different sides because they are highly complex and social animals. You are not wearing a mask nor role-playing, you are simply showing that side of you that is appropriate for the social situation you are currently engaged in -- for example, at work, on a date, with your best friend, with your family, or alone. There is not necessarily anything fake about this, nor are you necessarily hiding your real self. In fact, there is no real self independent of the various sides of your personality.

@@Scott-got-caughtSo this is what I say and bear witness to in the Lord, that you should no longer go on walking just as the nations also walk,+ in the futility of their minds.+ 18 They are in darkness mentally and alienated from the life that belongs to God, because of the ignorance that is in them, because of the insensitivity of their hearts. 19 Having gone past all moral sense, they gave themselves over to brazen conduct+ to practice every sort of uncleanness with greediness.+
20 But you did not learn the Christ to be like this, 21 if, indeed, you heard him and were taught by means of him, just as truth is in Jesus. 22 You were taught to put away the old personality+ that conforms to your former course of conduct and that is being corrupted according to its deceptive desires.+ 23 And you should continue to be made new in your dominant mental attitude,+ 24 and should put on the new personality+ that was created according to God’s will in true righteousness and loyalty.
25 Therefore, now that you have put away deceit, each one of you speak truth with his neighbor,+ because we are members belonging to one another.+ 26 Be wrathful, but do not sin;+ do not let the sun set while you are still angry;+ 27 do not give the Devil an opportunity.+ 28 Let the one who steals steal no more;+ rather, let him do hard work, doing good work with his hands,+ so that he may have something to share with someone in need.+ 29 Let a rotten word not come out of your mouth,+ but only what is good for building up as the need may be, to impart what is beneficial to the hearers.+ 30 Also, do not be grieving God’s holy spirit,+ with which you have been sealed+ for a day of releasing by ransom.+
31 Put away from yourselves every kind of malicious bitterness,+ anger, wrath, screaming, and abusive speech,+ as well as everything injurious.+ 32 But become kind to one another, tenderly compassionate,+ freely forgiving one another just as God also by Christ freely forgave you.+

I believe that the assumption that people "over 60 do not have the power and passion to do the things they want to do" is terribly wrong and supports ageism. Very wrong.

I have 4 children and I can tell you naturally they are different and compliment each other. I don't think it's healthy confuse them with the gender confusion fad either. They are too young to care about that. I look to Jesus and early church fathers to see a true man and Mary his mother a loving woman.

The one thing a leader/manager does that can destroy moral is to put up with subordinates that are unproductive, not punctual, toxic, needy, sensitive etc. It shows the good workers that the boss will put up with a bad employee and is too lazy or gutless to fix or remove the bad employee.

Great summary!.. Many of these concepts are observable, relatable and revealing (such as comparing to others, envy, "shadow" [per Jung's archetype]. masks, narcissism, empathy, irrationality and group think). A few of these are not as obvious (such as "always" avoiding pain or change). The statement that humans automatically lose passion and power after age 60 is very subjective and limited.

    ‼️‼️‼️🎭MASKS🎭‼️‼️‼️
Wearing a mask is what autistics like me do when I am around other people. Autistics call this masking 🎭 it's how we function around people we don't know, but it is very draining. While wearing our masks we like to mimic personalities to meet the other person's comfort level so we can show them we are similar to their personality. That way they will treat us like a normal person. I learned how to mask, and mimic very well while working as a server at a popular steakhouse for 4 years. So much so for a long time I didn't know who I was as a person. I realized that every table I waited on had their own personality. Some where laid back others were quiet, some wanted me to be comfortable like a friend, some were strict, and expected me to say yes/no ma'am/sir. Most of the time I could usually tell what type of personality they had by the way they were dressed. I was not always right, but for me it was fun to learn about normal people, and how they act.

Isn't this all common sense that we learn the hard way growing up? And who is going to watch this video or read that book and really just change who they are? Nobody. So what is the point of the book or RUclips video? Making money while teaching us that we are sh*t people? Or regurgitating dumb LIFE lessons that can only be learned by living?

Ibam revealing my personality because I know I am never going to meet you... even if I do I don't know you and you don't know me but the difference is I can still control, just in case of need. Sorry if you all felt bad. 😊 The mask... be sure not to take it of... 😮‍💨

This is so linear, without considering culture and generatuonal differences. Also, it's way too black/white.
For example : death denial hasn't always to do with pushing off a deadline. People are different. Some need short deadlines, and work well that way. Nothing to do with death denial. Others work better with long deadlines, nothing to do with non death denial !
Also, always having to accomodate oneself to a situation or others, against one's own wishes or caracter is not productive nor healthy.
I can't and won't have a mask on at work, and be different at home. That's just madness. And, that's why so many people are so manipulative, insecure, narcissistic, etc.
If people where mote grounded, knowing themselves better, and trying to collaborate in a balanced way, not out of self greed or so, than the world would be a great place to live! Lets aim for that ! 👌🙂
