Loving the park, Chacho! I was just wondering, I love riding trains at amusement parks (the only place left to do so here in America, it seems) and was curious if we could ride the train every so often (like maybe every ten years or so) to see how the park evolves from a closer to the ground perspective? Either way, I can't wait to see how this park evolves throughout the years!
Chacho, this is NUTS! You've WAY outdone yourself. Sure there may be fewer things to build because the '30s had fewer regulations, etc., but you have poured ALL your usual commitment to detail into the bits that do exist! That station is NEXT LEVEL. Spectacular work!
I’ve done 3 parks where I did the same thing you are doing, building the park through the decades. Let me tell you, it’s hard at the start to get everything like it was back in the years and “janky” as it used to be, but it’s so satisfying to watch it grow and develop and when you start adding new things to where old things used to be! Really gave me a new interest in this game
The hardest bit has been the "straight after the war" years.. there's nothing around.. park's either went under or went into hibernation.. They seem to pick up again in the early 50's
Yes! Yes! Yes! Another WW2 joke in the intro! P.d. FYI Knoebels’ version of the Flying Turns is much more heavily supported and has wooden cross-ties over the track too. However I can’t tell you if the old ones had this.
It's worth the effort to do it, but getting artistic shapes from idro beams takes longer than building the coaster.. and even then I ended up going for a flat side as opposed to curved like I originally wanted.. especially the roof..
Most RMC hybrid coasters come from wooden coasters built in the 80's or 90's, so it wouldn't be very realistic for that to happen. Though if the park got a CCI or Dinn Wooden Coaster somewhere down the line ,a hybrid conversion could definitely be a cool addition.
@@Nerdchacho I wouldn’t say overrated. Almost every woodie they RMC’ed either never got any riders or was border line terrible. But they are definitely becoming less common and it seems that ground ups are becoming their thing now.
The park name is pronounced "Kuh-no-bels". It is hands down my favorite park as have visited every summer for the past 30 years. They advertise as the largest "Free Admission" park in the United States. They use a ticket system to charge for the rides or have ride all day passes on weekdays. Picnic groves to eat or buy your lunch there as they also won the Golden Ticket award for their food. Camping also on-site. No fences surround the perimeter of the park what so-ever. I have been working off and on for several years to recreate this park in Planet Coaster including Flying Turns. The addition of pebble mulch in the toolkit was a great help has a lot of the park has no pavement. It's nestled in the woods and you can even bring your pets. Has a pool too just like Royal Myle. This park has a great mix of old and new rides and is still family owned. I would encourage everyone to make a trek to Elysburg, PA to check it out!
As one of those people “over there” yes, you pronounce the K. Also, those restraints are god awful if you have to ride with someone else, that was bad. But the ride was great, not to mention our train was so heavy that we were going over 5-7 miles an hour faster than a usual train…
Love the Flying turns layout but i hope this park keep some legacy on it rides, some parks at this time would Demo the coaster and build new ones, so your lost your history. That's why parks like knoebels, Kennywood and Camden park (WV and park in Fallout 77) have more of a historic charm. Send the park file to Johnny, this could be a good spot to show the birth of the park and the final in 2020 to see the humble beginnings to Modern Marvel
Well.. there would be some disasters along the way; and these coasters are prone to burning down... and there would be a bit of a shameless cull in the 80s and 90s.. so some will survive and some will depart to tears and sad music.. I haven't decided what yet, though
Oh, the actual time lapse is dull as dish water to watch if it were filmed in one. It is lots of me searching Google, swapping to reference pics, placing then deleting and waiting for autosave.. There's defo nothing dramatic about them :D
Also (if you want to reveal this) is this park gonna stay a separate entity or get acquired by a company like Merlin. Because I think both routs would be cool.
I know this is a bit late to the party but Six Flags over Texas has a coaster similar to this La Vibora. The cars resemble bobsleds. ruclips.net/video/o9pXE2JSGj4/видео.html @ 5:18 . I'm not sure when it was first build but remember riding it in the 70s.
Forget the coaster...that station is pure art! 👌
Love how it’s hidden in the trees! Another great addition!
Perfect for burning down too... :D
Chacho has found a way to make me insecure about my station building in every series. What a legend.
Really? When I was building it, I honestly thought it was my worst ever station...
That station is one of the most beautiful I've seen in PlanCo! I'm so inspired by it to try something similar now.
I finished it and was like "meh, it'll do..." - but seems that you lot love it; so I'll take it haha

Yes.. Let's do a train ride POV video when the coaster in 1951 is done... :)

That station building is magnificent! I thought I was detail-oriented, but this puts anything I've ever done in Planet Coaster to shame.
The station didn't seem that special when I finished it.. but looking back on it.. it's fairly decent..
Fell behind on the series because life got busy but really enjoying what you’re doing!
I think that station was amazing. All that lattice work really paid off.
It totally did.. even if it was a time drain to do!
Thank you for making this series and I'm loving it. It's the best part of Sundays for me.
Ahh, any time! It's fun do build a park differently

I'm amazed someone hasn't tried to cancel me over them yet...
That station is stunning, I love that style

Yes you did pronounce Knoebels right. I’ve ridden Flying Turns and it is awesome! Short, sweet, and to the point.
I can’t wait for this, I have been struggle lots with building a bobsled lately :/
I'd be cool if Chacho RMC'd the woody in the future

Also, RMCing woodies is an American thing.. not a UK / EU thing.. so I think I'm going to keep it over there.. RMCing things is over-rated now.
Aw rats I’m too American :(

You should install an RMC. It fits the 1930s perfectly.
Also, please add flames to the lift hill on this bobsled coaster to add realism
Time period accurate! :D

I hated Avalanche at Blackpool - and that's Mack.. so I presume they would be the same or similar...
Love the station! It vaguely reminds me of the front of the Racer we have at Kennywood.
Ahh yeah, I can see that.. the lattice work makes it really similar! I suspect it might be the same design style..
Bobsled coasters are so cool!
They remind me of water slides
I really hope I get to ride one one day
Yay, 2 PA park references back to back lol
I think there is one next week too...
Its pronounced kuh-NO-bel. They also have a really fun pretzel haunted house ride I'd you need future inspiration.

👍 What are your thoughts on POV's of Knoebels Flying Turns?
Looks fun.. and fairly accurate to its 1930s counterparts..
Was looking for this comment lmao
@@Nerdchacho it’s not that bad
Love your vids chacho
Congrats on 10k subs!
Ahh thanks so much! It took a while, but we made it..
Absolutely love the coaster it would be a shame if it burnt down😂
“How’s that new German friend of yours?” 🤣💀
Turns out... he's a bit of a nob.... haha
why do i feel like these ttimelapes are dematic recreations on what is acctualy happening in the timelapes

Alternate name: Myle Flyer
In which episode does the royal myle get bombed by Germany?
It doesn't....
@@Nerdchacho 🤣
Fireburn Roc: That's the Alt coaster name 18:38
1939 is before 2nd war.
the 2nd world war started on the 1st of September 1939
Genuine question but how do bobsled coasters deal with snow
Also (if you want to reveal this) is this park gonna stay a separate entity or get acquired by a company like Merlin. Because I think both routs would be cool.
Probably badly as it is wood.. it would probably start to warp and stuff over time. They're susceptible to fire too..
You know hoe alton towers had kind of a memorial to corkscrew ?
Well, im excited to see if this park will do this
I'm excited to see this burn down in 10 years time 🙈
🤣

I lost my ability to count... :D
Not to brag, but i can run chacholandia with all the tmtk on highest quality settings with only a bit of lag 😎😎
That is the power of a 13900KS and 4090, clearly 🤪
