Hi Preston... thanks for the comment. Both traps work great. The advantage of this one is that it is very large and has ramps to funnel the fish in a little more quickly. The advantage of the clover is that you can bait it and leave it out for extended periods of time. You can bait this one as well, but the bait will float around unless you put it in a mesh bag or something. Sorry, I know there's no real clear answer there. Both work great. This one is just good if you need a TON of bait as the trap is huge. I definitely sell more of the clover though as its size is more manageable. Hope this helps some... please let me know if you have any other questions. Thanks man.
Hello! You can find us online at www.reeltexasoutdoors.com. Lots of different trap styles and contact info there as well. Thanks for the comment as well.
Hi Joshua, all of the information about our traps can be found on our site (www.reeltexasoutdoors.com). This one would work for creek chubs and larger bait, but not small minnows. Those would need 1/4 inch mesh and I do not make traps out of that thin wire. Hope this info helps and thanks for the comment.
Thanks for the comment. I would say that this would work well in any freshwater environment. I wouldn't recommend any of our galvanized metal traps for saltwater though. You'd need the PVC coated stuff for that. Hope this helps.. thanks again.
Hi Jack. Not sure what issue you’re having. Been selling them all week. Just checked on my phone as well, and the shipping / checkout seems to work fine. Please send me an email with what item you’re wanting and your zip code. I can manually do it for you. Either that, or feel free to give me a call on Monday. Email and phone # are both on the site. Thx.
Hey Mike' I still love my large 4 leaf clover trap. My only design criticism would be to use a different stretchy band or maybe even a hook clamp to keep the bait door closed and the exit door closed. The reason why i say this is over time they lose their elasticity and don't hold the door shut very well. I also had to reinforce the carry string on the top that you would tie on rope to retrieve the trap cause it broke over time from loosing its strength. Other than that...i LOVE this trap and still use it til this day. here is your trap in action after a Cold overnight in a local pond. Normally there would 3 - 4x the amount of fish in this but like i said it was cold as hell the night before and it still caught about a 100 fish perfect for bait. ruclips.net/video/NgR3x-NcZjs/видео.html
Hey brother! Thanks for the comment, and I sincerely appreciate the feedback. I believe you ordered more than a few years back, correct? I'm glad you mentioned the bungee as well... for about the last year or so I have been ordering some marine grade bungee offline to use with out traps. It's MUCH better stuff that what I used to use years ago... so that issue was noted and corrected. Again, thanks for the feedback there. Always looking to improve these things. I will definitely check out your video. I appreciate you sharing it, and glad to hear you're still using the trap. Stay in touch, man... love hearing from you every now and again. God bless.
Is this more effective in your Opinion the four leaf clover or this trap
