A fluffy uneven mane is beautiful on a horse - and the unevenness helps with flies so they don't have a clear place to land on the neck and head. Longer on the top to keep flies out of her eyes. The long hair doesn't hurt her eyes or her eye sight - the longer the better as it helps!
Jake why do you keep cutting the mane on the horses. That helps to keep them cool in the heat and warm when it's cold I've e never seen anyone cut horses manes like you do just asking
And with swishimg off flies ..unless its an indoor arena horse show, manes and tails are perfect as nature made them..with one caveat..sometimes trimming the forelock so it never gets in their eyes is a good idea
There isn't flies right now. When there is he fly sprays them. He did it to Paris and her mane looks amazing. I think it just evens it out and gets rid of the split ends. Also a bonding moment. She has to get use to him and trust him❤
I asked Jake and last I knew Judy is a girls name. I don't know who you are and I don't care. I didn't ask my question in a mean way I was nice about it but I'll be sure not to ask another question
She looks great Jake. Bonding everyday like this is exactly what she needs. As much human interaction that doesn’t involve feed time (when she’s aggressive) can only be a positive thing
Horse’s manes, forelocks, and tails are functional. There is a reason they cover the eyes and necks and the tails are long enough to control flies. The spikey unevenness looks great. You can’t compare women’s hair care and horse’s hair care, it’s comparing apples and oranges.
I normally don’t pay attention to little details but you forgot to take the tags off your jacket 🤣 Jake I love the natural mane but she’s beautiful either way. But I would cry if someone cut off Tigger’s mane 🤣
Jake , I really love your horse videos and your 1000% improvement from where you used to be! It’s great to see how gentle you are and adequately firm at the same time. I love your little family too! Joyce in Newman ca
Could the white dog possibly be Sadie? I know it’s far but it’s been long enough for her to make it there. Here second home of those she loves. Willow looks so good. Great job Jake ❤
She's beautiful & knows she's loved. Very cared for horses. Jake is much more consistant now, which good. I have seen a noticeable growth in maturity since Lyssa arrived, to live together. ❤ I think you will be much better living away from Morrow Hill. A lot of times, living too close to family doesn't allow you to grow, open your mind to new ways, etc, etc. I am so happy for you two!
To teach willow to tie, you need to sink an unbreakable post in the ground. Attach to it an inner tube in a loop to be able to tie to it. Then tie her to it with a quick release knot. Short enough that she can't put her head down and a foot over the lead. If she pulls back, it will stretch but not break. She has learned that if she pulls back hard enough, it will break. Every time she breaks loose, that reinforces what she learned. So you need to make sure she can't break loose. Or break her halter or lead rope.
Jake is going to make a patience pole. If you don’t know what that is, google it. Teaches horses patience and not to set back. Inner tube works great, but old fashioned method.
Jake quick question, are you just trying your jacket on to see if you want it or did you forget to take the tags off. Love you and Lyssa. Keep on keeping on
You are doing so great, Jake. I’m an OG and I’ve watched all of your videos. It’s been a pleasure to watch you grow and find interest in so many new things!⭐️
I love the love & effort you put in to making your horses look beautiful. Niw i dont know if they feel beautiful but they must feel brilliant to them when you spend that 1on1 time with them. Good one Jake, will you tackle dogs hair next? Think of the shapes you can make, ohh & the colours.
I’m not a horse person but saw no behavior issues from Willow at all in this vid other than getting through the gate. I am an animal person tho and know when they rub their face all on you they love you…💗
You are doing a great job with the two horses. You do what is best for you and them. Remember we all have a starting point. May not look great this time but each time you trim it you will get better. ❤
I love seeing how much you groom them ! How old is Willow ? Are they getting along ok as it seems to me they are doing ok. Your horse, your horses mane so people keep your negative opinions to yourself.
Actually, Jake, some women get layers cut in their hair so that it doesnt look blunt😅 We dont want to look like Lord Farquaad😂 Awe Willow looks beautiful with her mow hawk!🥰
Every animal was looking directly at you 3:29🤗. I believe Willow will blossom with your love and care. I have No comment in regard to Willows missing beautiful mane. 💌
As usual Paris is perfect and Willow does whatever she wants. Bless you heart Jake. I don't know how you do it!! Trimming Willow's hair would be easier if you had better scissors. Willow is going to have to get used to coming into that pasture for now!! Willow looks great!!
Just a little tip, Jake. Never point the scissors toward her face. If she’d swing her head around towards you, she would get stabbed always point them away from her face. I’m not picking on you. You’re doing a really good job and I’m glad to see that you’re working With your horses and grooming them. I’m only concerned about the things that can hurt you or your horses. Have fun.
No please Jake don't do that no more they look so much better and beautiful when their hair is long and luxury and blowing in the wind it's so short now that they're you ride her and there's little tiny wind that's going in her hair 😞😞😞 please try to let it grow and then if it gets too long then shorten it but don't shorten it that much
I don't know if you already did this, but also put the electric fencing on the bottom of the fences, so things like this wouldn't come thru and do something to your animals, and also they ( Your animals) can have free ranging) on your fields!😊
Uhmm jake, you cut her mane because it was " uneven".. i hate to be the one to break this news to you.. but it was way more uneven and choppy looking after you cut it 🤣🤣. Thankfully her mane will grow back! Your doing a great job with her, i cant wait to watch her trust you more and more!!

I think it is uneven and has split ends. He did it with Paris and her mane looks amazing now.
No it doesn't @@Winnipig2
@smilinpoodlelady6331 thanks for your reply at least you were nice about it
Its your horse so you can do what you want. Personally, for me, i love the long manes and the wild look. Good protection from bugs for the summertime
I cried when he took out the scissors! I couldn’t believe he was going to cut off that beautiful mane. What a shame.
I think he did it because it was a hot mess. Matted, uneven and split ends. He did it with Paris and her mane looks amazing now.

He answered your question, he said, he personally doesn’t like it, like it was. Simple. It’s not your business
I asked Jake and last I knew Judy is a girls name. I don't know who you are and I don't care. I didn't ask my question in a mean way I was nice about it but I'll be sure not to ask another question
I am happy you are on You Tube because I don’t like Facebook, I just don’t watch anything in Facebook. You are an amazing hard working man
Little Foot’s hops are hilarious.. she looks as she’s perpetually surprised when she does them 😅
Jake is learning way quicker than the rest. It takes time and consistent to teach a horse. Doing great jake.
Don't like it. Not ok, not cute. Hair is crowning glory.

Good job, Jake. You have turned into such a great man, husband and father. Oh ya!! and cowboy!!
Hi Jake. I'm glad to see that lately you & Bri have really stepped up your game & are pumpin out the videos.

Willow looks so good. Great job Jake ❤
The white dog like more like a white pit mix, not a very fluffy Great Pyrenees like sadie
LE and Megan have 3 pyrenees. One of them is attacking farm animals. But they were supervising him.
@@ElfCringle she may not be so fluffy looking after so long surviving
Please Jake!!!!! For the love of God....
Put the scissors away!!!!!!!😊❤👍👍👍👍👍👍
Willow is a beautiful horse ! 👍
You have Willow looking so good. Can't wait to watch you bond with her.
My mom would call those “idiot bangs”. 😂 But her main will grow back in. She is such a beauty. ❤

Its sad all that work you done with Willow has gone away. I know once you get everyone over to your new place youll have them both in great shape .
Have always shaved the bridlepaths about 4 inches . Really cleans that area up nicely .
When you move, have little foot and Glenn by themselves and the two horses together in their own area so you don’t have to deal with this anymore lol.
You haven't seen Roman, Uncle Lester Big beautiful Belgium horses style, that the Almish had done! And personally! I think He is so handsome boy!😊❤❤❤
