    It's sort of a social thing we are brought up with, to not disturb a show while running. To respect the artist. Not consiously. Its just the culture here. And it's not that people dont laugh or stuff. But we are apperantly in general more quiet than Americans. But then again.. Who isn't?? 😂😂😜😜❤️

      @DesertRat45-i3q As a historian, I know a lot about a little and a little about a lot, and you've just expanded my knowledge! I had no idea that there were Americans who'd gone over to Canada to volunteer their services. (That's actually made me feel quite emotional!) The number of volunteers were 35,000, which also included Brits who were living in the US. They served in all branches of the Canadian Armed Forces.

People have been comparing Kirk to MLK, yet Kirk wanted to destroy the very thing MLK lived and died for. Kirk was the anti-MLK. Is that not a life of hate?

      @rjbmarchiac8693 Even in most of Europe you can get sacked if you are in violation of the company's COC (code of conduct). And in most countries in Europe, people can be given notice without a reason whatsoever. Firing on the spot is a different story all together. But lastly, since Kimmel is not employed by a European company, European laws do not matter, only US laws and we all know about the 'hire and fire' culture in the US.

      @B@BuildinWingsuld be a good point if USA hadn’t spent the last 80 years involving themselves in local skirmishes and bombing militarily insignificant nations into the Stone Age oftentimes for no other reason than installing a friendly regime. Americans had no issue invading Iraq based on lies but when Russia shows up with genuine menace you’re found wanting again.

    It's mind boggling to me as an American when other Americans pull that WW2 card claiming we saved Europe. That's merely a participation trophy. It was 4 million members of the Red Army, specifically the 1st Ukrainian Front and the 1st Belarusian Front, that put the squeeze on Berlin.

    • @liggerstuxin1
      @liggerstuxin1 4 months ago +15

      You are correct, sir. Effectively the Russians won World War II and the Americans had the bomb after. And let’s not forget that Britain was constantly attacked and their contributions with solving the enigma machine with the fist computer. Now they say that Britain knew of the impending attack on Pearl Harbor and that even our president did. They felt it was necessary to get us into the war... And then our Nukes were not necessary beyond politics. And since we had them, we got to put a stamp at the end of the war. We got to flex our muscles at the end, and set the table.
