I’m really wondering what Pearl/Crab king lore really is. It’s sure they were very close to each other, but what happened to them is still a mystery to me.
Small pro tip for servers / groups of friends: The bottle spawning is per player, so if you get a bunch of people on one boat and sail around, you will be swimming in bottles.
Yeah wickerbottom is absolutely busted buts it’s kinda bs that Maxwell can use her whole kit and it just costs him more sanity which isn’t really a downside since you can just wear bone helm
I'm a newer player so I don't really get the same opinion as older players fighting the old crab king but personally I believe the new one is an improvement.
Question, is the 10 treasures the max amount a world can have until the others are fished up so others can spawn, or it it only ten can spawn in general, so like mandrakes they're a limited resource that doesn't replenish unless you can find a really weird way to get more like krampus
I have seen someone uses applied silviculture book to grow geode fruit immediately I don’t know exactly if that thing still exist because when I use it (I play on ps4) The book spends some of its durability but I don’t get any geode fruit in the process
The otters also drop message in a bottle sometimes. Would it ever be worth making a farm for them? You can relocate their dens after all since they function as boats
@@JazzysGames the scrapbook links together message bottles and otters so i think its part of the drop table (but i wouldnt be surprised if the scrapbook itself was just giving misinformation)

Niche take but you should be able to analyze what type of seed it is with a gardener hat and wormwoods seed skill. Mostly cause I can see klei adding more types of seeds down the line and I don’t wanna play the guessing game on console🤣

I'm testing with wickerbottom and it seem she can make Gloom trees grow from seeds in winter only, they grow on Rock Turf so I don't think the turf matters, Summer book has no effect, Rock trees grow in ether Autumnor spring I'm still checking on this matter
You can get the seed to sapling if either the turf or season is correct. For sapling to tree both conditions need to be met. For fruit growth only the turf matters.
@@JazzysGames I still can't figure out what makes the rock tree I got three by accident, when I set it on Spring and Autumn gloom see grow at winter but as far as rock trees they seem to grow and they want...never got the correct season to grow with the Wicker bottom
@@Travar1410 Klei is done with DS on HAMLET, and they don't plan to update DS anymore. And besides, I don't see any reason why DS needs updates. Have they removed the game from Steam? No, i guess. You can always just go back to your favorite game. Guys, please, stop demanding things that will never happen again.
I do plenty of that too! Gemrock trees are definitely not powerful enough to replace the ruins; drop rates for ruins gems aren’t even that good. It’s still a nice supplement to the effort of getting more gems that requires very little work once planted.

For blue and red gems the tree's are easily better but for orange, yellow and green gems the ruins and Dfly farming are easily better. If you really wanted blue and red gems though a Varg farm would be better than the tree's. They are the worse method of actively getting gems BUT it requires no work on your end unlike the other methods which heavily makes up for it. Its passive gem generation. Im gonna spam these tree's so i dont have to kill Dfly or reset the ruins again.

Crab King dropping the bottles means he HAS been getting at least some of the messages and holding on to them.

I should’ve worded that more clearly. It’s a global cap of 10 but you can get more after you’ve fished them up.

How many gems does a tree produce at a time? And it's once every season you say?
According to the code it’s supposed to be a range between 12-25 days, but most of the time I only see the max value getting used.

it doesn't look like the rock Turf matters cuz every time one grows it's always a Gloom tree, not sure what im doing worng, is it random?
You might just be getting a lot of gloomthorns. Sometimes it takes a while to get a lot of both.

Gloom trees also only produce berries at night when night is over they get suck back up in a tree.
You can get the seed to sapling if either the turf or season is correct. For sapling to tree both conditions need to be met. For fruit growth only the turf matters.
