oh love the video but!! I think there are several points you may not be totally accurate about/could be phrased differently 😄 At 1:48, the eng cc states that “I think 60% of Chinese people are in Singapore”, which can be perceived in a very different manner - one that implies that 60% of the chinese population in the WORLD is in Singapore. Instead, “60% of people in Singapore are chinese” is a much better way to phrase it. Also I would suggest avoiding including such statements in your videos as they are sweeping statements that generalises Singapore and creates a false image of the country. I do applaud your intentions in uploading this video to help other aspiring international students. Your efforts in conveying a true portrayal of Singapore to perhaps people unfamiliar to the country is recognised, however from a local’s point of view, it seems like it may be discolouring our image. Locals are always willing to give suggestions or recommend things to do, vet your information and so on if you ever intend to make changes to your process of making factual videos on Singapore’s culture in the future!

Most Singaporean Chinese speak Hokkien or Cantonese mixed with some English words. Increasing number of younger students can speak Mandarin but it sounds a bit awkward to the native speakers of Mandarin. Singapore is a great place to study with at least two famous universities. It's safe, clean and everything seems to be well organised.

I'm Malaysian studying in Singapore also. I took diploma in Hospitality Management . Currently , i was told by staff that i got to choose internship either work in Malaysia or Singapore ( 6 months ). Eventually , i choose to do internship in Malaysia because the application working in Singapore is quite confused especially during this covid pandemic .
