- Airwolf is the most sophisticated helicopter imaginable (flies halfway round the world, outruns jet planes). Stringfellow Hawke is its pilot, essentially blackmailing a secret US agency into finding his brother (lost in Vietnam) while he flies dangerous assignments for "The Firm."
To honour this fantastic television series of the '80's I animated the leader of the first season. This is the result after years of work, dedicated and with a lot of passion.

How the hell has no one made a game of airwolf yet, great story and characters, side missions main plot it’s all there some developers need to get off their arses and get this made it will sell, especially if it’s VR compatible. Imagine opening the door and doing the start up and flying out of the lair in VR OMG!!! That would fucking rock.
some day there will be a reboot... just a matter of time and lack of creativity :)

I'd be happy to edit the model and make whatever changes it would need for the game. I'm mostly just looking for a solid starting point.
believe me, it isn't manageble to create a lowpoly from this model, watch the making of if you have any doubt :)
It can easily be refined to be game ready. High poly models in War Thunder at LOD 1 have massive poly counts.

We need an AIRWOLF VR game. With all the success of Ace Combat and pending success of Star Wars Squadrons a VR AIRWOLF game would be an instant hit. Correctly promoted could one of the greatest VR games ever.
Very nice. But rotor motion blur needs some improvement.

Great work. Now a little advice? A little brush ups and BAM baby we have the perfect animation for an Airwolf game itself. And I definitely would buy and play it.
Any advice is welcome :-) but I'm not opening the project anymore, too much work :-)
Well the only thing was really on the character were good in facial detail and expression, the body's were slightly gumby a little. But hey even with the animation software with wireframe and rendering it creates that. Awesome still.

This litteraly took years... I first started to model the helicopter in 2003 and through time I made several animation tests with it

Loved it , how long did that take you to piece together ?
First modeling began in 2003, but it was until 2012 when I started to actually do something with the model and began this project. Overall you can count on 3 months of work I quess...
