Accident story - Some people are truly dumb. My spouse was waiting to turn left at a light and got hit when they did. The guy gave us the info, but he argued with our insurance that it was red and my spouse ran it. My agent slowly asked "If it was red, why did you run it? Left turns are required to get out of the intersection if it turns red." He got really quiet.
My roommates daughter was at an intersection turning light in her favor. This guy with towing a camp trailer & atv’s in the bed of his truck. Ran the red light clipped her bumper enough to cause damage to the frame of her suv. He kept claiming he had the right of way. When the 2 witnesses & the cop told him he didn’t. Even his insurance company said he had the right of way but a police report, witnesses & driver say otherwise. It went on for over a year and a half before the threat of a lawsuit on both the other driver and insurance company did they change their mind
second part of the first story: even better would have been, if OP could have opened the bottles without trace, and replaced the gin with water. because it's a alcohol free party.
In the U.S. courts have ruled that things like solar equipment and satelite t.v. dishes are NOT under the control of HOA'S with the one exception being the HOA can request that satelite dishes be painted to blend in with the surrounding parts of the building so that the don't stand out. This ruling came down from a Federal Court so can not be overruled by some paid off local judge.
With the entitled driver one who caused the accident - it's the same thing some politicians do: repeat it until your version is the accepted one, and to hell with the facts. I expect that she'll either knuckle under when the insurance tells her she has full liability, or spend more money than she has to fight it in court.
The bad part about the HOA story is that the homeowners had to pay a lawyer several thousands of dollars (most likely) to defend themselves against a nonsensical lawsuit.
No, the bad part is, legally, the only restriction on solar panels is where they can be. They cannot prevent someone from getting them. Well, in 21 states, they can try, but those states are trying to make laws that prevent HOAs from prohibiting solar
Abusive Manager Story: OP should have been Documenting the Unholy Howling HELL out of the Manager's behaviour and then filed Multiple Complaints with his Boss and HR... I would have...
I was in a roundabout- far left lane - Ford Transit 350 Van raised roof (9ft tall vehicle) and got hit by an incoming vehicle. Why did he hit me because I got to go into the circle before he did even though he was stopped before I was (at a different circle entrance). Even if I cut ahead of him, why hit me once I was in the circle? He truly thought I get a ticket but instead he did. Cherry in all this was I’m assuming he asked for a court date and I was summoned. Probably assumed I wouldn’t show up either but I did. (Court was a two minute drive for me). Because I did and the other driver didn’t he had fines including the ticket and court fees and until it was paid his license was suspended. Wish I knew what happened afterwards.
Manager story: OP, you should have told everyone to do as you did and pretend they were answering as him. As for the party, everyone should have not shown up. If you were all ORDERED to show up, require that you be paid for your time. Accident story: Where did this Karen get her driver's license, a Cracker Jack's box. (BTW I like Cracker Jacks, even if they are a bit hard to find.) At least she had insurance. That's almost a surprise. HOA vs solar story: Why would you even build where there will be an HOA? But if your state has no protections, it's time to start talking to you state congress critters.
Solar panels are not renewable energy, at best in the panels life tine they barely recover the energy that it took to make them. Also a great deal of coal is used to produce the pure silicon that goes into the cells, and if you think the cells and invert are going to last twenty years, good luck. I would not have a problem with solar panel but since they are subsidized multiple ways. Add in the power company has to buy the power produce by them at retail at times the power is not needed(the grid does not store energy all electricity has to be consumed as it produce.) All solar panels do is get other people to pay your electric bill. They are not green other than the money they extort from other people.
I don't quite understand how the OP got anything over on the supervisor in the first story by trying to guess the supervisor's answers on the personality test. Wouldn't that just make the OP look like he tested positive as a psychopath, too?
Boss wanted to know more about OP's personality so the boss made OP to go through the test.... But OP knew something was going on so OP used his Boss's personality (instead of his own) as the answers to the personality test. Since now they have the same results, the boss couldn't nitpick or find fault on OP because the boss would be destroying his own character if he attacks OP's character.
If they have different bad results... The boss could attack OP's character flaw. Since they have the "same results", the boss couldn't attack OP's character without attacking himself at the same time.
Last story - you would think that after ALL the stories that have been published and put on social media about how HOA's screw with and over people that your situation would go smoothly?
From Aussie I say disband every HOA in America because of the attitude of officials and stupid enforcement of said rules. Most likely the HOA is a democrap run outfit.....
If you're in an HOA and want to make an Eco-Friendly (Solar Panels, Metal Roof etc.) modification to your home, check your State or Provincial Laws as may US States and Canadian Provinces have a Law the forbids the HOA to restrict or forbid Eco-Friendly home additions...
As to the first story op and the co workers should say get rid of him or we all quit. As to.the second story sign two complaints against that nasty idiot. One for wreckless driving and one for improper passing. The fines and insurance premium increase for the accident and points will send a message. As to the last story rules that don't exist can't be enforced. The mis management company learned that the hard way at a very expensive cost.
you know when you hear stories like the last one and the hoa has a ban on solar panels it kind of makes you wonder if the hoa is getting kick backs from the utilities company for everyone in the subdivision who has their utilities with that company I mean why else would anyone be against using a renewable energy source such as solar panels
Why would anybody buy property, knowing there is a HOA?
Some places they’re unavoidable.
@@jamessimms415 They're avoidable.
Show me where, NW Tucson. Thanks@@margarethorrall8621
@@margarethorrall8621 Try getting a non-HOA property in Las Vegas. They're rarer than hen's teeth.
Some people beg to be told what to do.

Good afternoon or evening everyone and RedWheel 😊
Hope everyone had a great Thursday 😊

The manager sounds like a bob remember it’s for reasons like this why you shouldn’t be a bob
Second part of the first story
On the gift exchange, I think the boss should’ve gotten a lump of coal
OP just "killed him with kindness" after exposing him about the party instructions.
Or empty the bottles and fill them with water.
The bad part about the HOA story is that the homeowners had to pay a lawyer several thousands of dollars (most likely) to defend themselves against a nonsensical lawsuit.

In most states HOAs can't stop you from putting solar panels in the roof, check your state laws. The can't stop cable dishes per national law either.

I'm surprised that the cop didn't give that woman a citation for not paying attention or needs to get some kind of review on her driving record.
The HOA wouldn't be able to prevent new homeowners from installing solar panels now that other homeowners have established a pattern.

This property management company just a bully because other property owner already put soar panels up
