I never liked the old AJ purely because he was a fake media politicaly correct smile for the camera personality.
In regard to "the new AJ"... I'm interested to see where it goes simply because I didn't/don't believe it was/is possible. Regardless of bias, it's an interesting narrative in the heavyweight division and I bet my left nut Ol' Bricktop wishes he had AJ in his camp.

I like both guys and I think this will cost them more than they gain. They are both contenders at the top. Why destroy each other and be no closer to unified championship? This is a lot to put on the line to then not be unified. Fight some mid top ten guys and then one of you gets the winner of Usky and Fury and the other gets the loser.. Then the winners of the those fight for a spot in history. Both of them are going to get a lot of damage in this fight. AJ can fight Zhang and DDD fight parker or if thats too risky someone a little lower down in top 10
