I agree. Once she gets her start down with more of a burst off the blocks. Her times will improve as well as in 100m. My coach use to sold me about my starts when I ran the 100. He use to tell me the start will dictate succes or failure.

She is so fit and trim. Absolutely buff in all the right places for her style of running. Biceps loose, calves and thighs in sync and most impressive for me is her head and eyes. Never a flutter or quick glance at the other runners. And she runs through the 'tape' every single time. What discipline. I ran 440yrd in high school(1979-1981) She is the best at that. My coach use to always stress that "you're running against yourse🤔lf, you run away from you, not the others". Loved Coach Dorn.

She has a very feminine running form. Hard to describe, but it's there.
If she can stop moving her arms across her body, which creates sideways movement. She will go quicker.
@@petermyerscough5211I am not an athlete or runner but I do find her arm movement very unique. But I am thinking keeping her arms close to her body helps her get less drag? It’s only a hypothesis
phenomenal sprinter. Surprised she didn't podium in the worlds 200M, though happy for Dina Asher Smith. The quality in women's sprinting at the moment is sensational but Steiner has time on her side and plenty more to come!

A thumbs up on the video, very, very well done! Abby is just incredible to run the times she's running after the injuries that she's had to overcome. Abby deserves a ton of credit overcoming those injuries, not easy to do in itself but to run world class times afterwards is quite extraordinary! I'm putting my money on Abby when the NCAA's come along, I believe she knows what it'll take to beat Ofili, we shall see!

I'm a big UK fan. Born and raised in the mountains of Southeastern Kentucky, this young lady is something to watch! The first time I watched one of her races I said to myself, no way is she going to compete with her arm swing, SHE PROVED ME WRONG!!! I really enjoy watching track and to watch all the great from Michael Johnson to today's young men and women. And when this video showed her with her hair down, it was hard to believe it was the her!! A beautiful and very talented young lady and wishing her all the best. I agree that her arm swing leaves much to be desired. The way her arms cross her body Is very inefficient. That being said, she is one of the top female sprinters in the world. The sky is the limit for her once she corrects this technical flaw.

Wow running mechanics are perfect 🔥
Her runnuning style is completely diffferent from the other athletes. Her frequence of steps is higher and she doesn't swing backward her arms unlike her opponents do. She looks stiff but it works for her. I hope that she is really a clean athlete with no doping.
They said the same thing about Michael Johnson, but his unorthodox arm swing was textbook efficiency that many people try but failed to emulate over the years.

She recently ran a sub 49 in a 4x400 relay race and her Kentucky team won the race and broke the old record and now hold the new NCAA outdoor college record.

The thing I found interesting about Abby is right after she comes a out of the blocks she seems to straighten her arms so their rigidly pointing at the track. It's only for a brief moment but I've never seen another world class sprinter do that.

Watch this white girl.I have said it in one of my post.Abby Steiner is the next Big Thing.The US female track burner and blue ribbon event sensation.I am so proud of this young woman by virtue of the fact that there has not been a white girl competing in the blue ribbon event from the 70s till the new millenium in the US team.I am person of colour but the fact of the matter is for US runners the track will be well represented by all colours that brings about lots of fun and excitement.Secondly she is the American hope in the tracks where she can pose stiff competition to her Jamaican rivals. You see an amazing body; I see smith machine weighted hip thrusts, weighted walking lunges, squats, staggered leg weighted dips, leg extensions and curls, donkey calf raises, leg presses, lots of core work, arm and shoulder work…and lots of varied distance sprint heats. Abby is a rock star in the making! (Pssssst: Paris 2024!)

Her left arm especially in first race was maddd tight . But it’s in her shoulders . Watch her shoulders drop relaxed as she crosses the line .. she’s sooo fast but just by posture mechanics I think she likely can go faster .. either way she has it down and is fast as crap !
