The mechanism in real life can be watched here: • Simple mechanism of a ...

You did well to explain this calendar system! I would need to watch it in action to understand it fully.

This clock is amazing! I could only dream to find a movement like that at a fleamarket! I remember your initial video in german about this clock. Now that you did this video in english, I can understand how this works a bit better :)
Hope you'll keep it in your collection as there might not be many of these left in the world.

The plates are very thick - quality! Pity it's only for one week. If you don't keep a clock like this wound week after week, you then have to adjust the wheel for the calendar wheel. Is there a quick adjustment for this?

As I said. This clock was made for a clockmakers use only. Not for your living room but his store or workshop.
So keeping it wound is no problem since there is always someone there to wind it up.
      It's no pity.

Right up my street! Just a DATE hand. Usually, a mechanical clock needs a month display also, but here it doesn't. I the 'l' (as in lemonade) is the gap that accounts for Leap Years? The other 3 in the diagram appear uniform, hence my intelligent guess. Glad you're well and speaking in English.

So the writer did mention this one century ago as well. It's fine for a clockmaker since he know's how to remove the dial and set up the mechanism. That's what the clock was made for.
For a private customer a month hand would be needed.

Very handsome clock! How much does the pendulum lens weigh?

      About 5kg

@@p.hefetrueb2674 Do you know the exact lengths of the rods? :D
But other than that: That's the nice thing about Utzschneider's pendulum - you don't have to be very exact with the calculations since you can screw the balls in or out on their threads. Changing the effect of the compensation they do, just like on a early verge escapement.

Looks quite nice, how long does it last without being wound?

Maybe I missed it, but how long does the clock run for on one winding?
