+Fact Free I just was watching Star Wars episode 2 Attack Of Th Clones and I'm wondering how did r2-d2 and c3-po get out of the arena? I hope you can answer this.🙂
Let's also not forget that E.T. himself knows the ways of the force. The scene where he tells the kids where he's from, the scene when he's building the communicator, and of course his ability to enable flight.
Annoying Nerd To be honest, I was in love with it in the first time, then later on, I realized it was just a J.J Abrams remake of Episode 4. If they followed the SW Legends saga, it would've been more kickass
This also tells you that although it's in another galaxy, far, far, away, Earth IS loosely IN the Star Wars Universe, being that a team of that one alien race containing the likes of E.T. himself, have BEEN to our planet, and already know of our plant, and especially, animal life...
Because of filming the UK and reusing a few props, there is more than enough evidence to assume that 'Star Wars', 'Doctor Who' and 'Blakes Seven' are all in the same universe. With '…Who' especially being on Earth and traveling to other galaxies and times then it is possible. (it is worth noting that the star charts used in Star Wars from the Special Edition on are based on how the galaxy would have been around 3 million years ago). There is a lot of crossover between Star Wars and Doctor Who in the EU. Not least because when both franchises were dormant in the 90s a lot of the same authors were writing novels for both. The Yuuzhan Vong from Star Wars Unknown Region and the Vampires who attacked Galafrey from N Space are almost identical.
So that means that the events of E.T. actually happened in the Star Wars universe, which would mean that Star Wars is a movie in the Star Wars universe! So does that mean Star wars is based on true events? What about E.T.? Since he was referenced in a Star Wars movie, then that must mean E.T. is also a movie in the Star Wars universe which means its based off true events! But then R2-D2 appears in Star Trek, so what does that mean?!
Officially, those aliens just highly resemble E.T., hence the easter egg thing, but it is unclear, and intentionally never was clear, whether they are of the same species as the ones from Spielberg's film or if they even originate in the same reality (most likely not). It is the same situation as with the Humans from the Star Wars Galaxy. They have deliberately never been identified as Homo Sapiens in any SW media and are (probably; most likely; certainly) an alien species to us, humans of Earth.
I chuckle at seeing people ask if Earth exists in Star Wars because of stuff like this. Apparently "a galaxy far far away" isn't enough to clue people in that it was never meant to be an alternate reality. :U
I'm still saying both movies are in the same universe, and that Star Wars is a universe far far away in the past and earth just happened to replicate its Galaxy, which is possible do to infinite universes.
just keep in mind it says "A long time ago in a galaxy far far away." probably is, I guess ET is confirmed to be a Star Wars species according to the video, with Extra-galaxy flight.
@@peters4051 That could be explained by yet another movie: Men in Black. When K is showing J the known aliens George Lucas is among them possibly meaning he traveled from his galaxy to Earth and wrote Star Wars based on true events
I remember a series of Holonet news reports online that were published in the lead-up to Episode III that talked about how one of these aliens had been lost on a deep-space expedition. Presumably, that lost alien is "E.T."
I bet that extra-galactic expedition was actually where the Asogians actually traveled all the way to Earth deep in the Unknown Regions and collected samples of plant species native to Earth to bring back to their home planet.
Lucas not only kept his promise, he wrote E.T.'s species (Asogian) INTO the Srar Wars Universe, stating that the Republic Senator Grebleips ("Spielberg" backwards) from E.T.'s world (before he was arrested for activities of treason when Palpatine dissolved the Senate) would come to fund a private expedition into another galaxy, which turned out to be the Milky Way, with Earth as one of the planets they visited... That said, the Asogians are the only documented Star Wars characters that actually HAVE been to Earth... It's a big universe, folks!
I might have reason to get into Star Wars, now. O.O I am a HUGE E.T. fan who tries to get to know everything about him and his species... I was not sure they had a species name... Thank you so much!
Fucking mindblow! Remember in "E.T." when E.T. saw that Yoda child, and said "Home! Home!". He wants to go home in his galaxy where Yoda lived. So E.T. is the actuell link between our universe and the StarWars universe.
And according to Supernatural Encounters featuring Arhul Hextrophon, it's implied that E.T. is probably in the same universe (or, rather, Multiverse) as Star Wars Legends. And yes, the Yoda costume in that film does imply that not only does George Lucas and Star Wars, as a whole, exist, but also the implication that Lucas is a bit of a Force sage or something similarly clairvoyant.
0:24 So E.T was in 1982 and this was during 1999 so that means he’s a Jedi cause of what we’ve scene and also that Star Wars is happening in the current present huh....
If it's gonna be based on the new Canon only, it will take just like 25 seconds or so. :-D :-D :-D I will never forget how Stupendous Wave recently attempted to do Top Ten canonic Sith Lords and there are currently just 6 of them there. :-D :-D That was..... well.... ridiculous, to say the least! :-)
So if ET travels to Earth in the 1980s, and Star Wars takes place "a long time ago", was ET a time traveler, or does modern Earth take place in 3 Million BBY??
E.T takes place shortly after ROTS. The E.Ts fled the Galaxy because there home planet "The Green Planet" was about to be invaded by the empire. Luckily they thought ahead and salvaged and heavily modified a fleet of abandoned Separatist core ships from the clone wars. (notice how similar they look) Separatist ship vignette.wikia.nocookie.net/starwars/images/7/76/Coreship.png/revision/latest?cb=20140908041618 E.T Ship www.thereelbits.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/07/et-special-edition.jpg Therefore while searching through out the galaxy and other galaxies they come across many galaxies but they have a 2 particular galaxies in mind that are located in deep space that will keep them easily hidden from the empire. Although these galaxies are far out of reach of the empire, they are also very far from each other. they decide to go to the one closest to there current position first, (THE MILKYWAY GALAXY) ,and land on earth but have to leave shortly after realizing it is already inhabited. but while leaving they have to move quickly because people are coming for them and accidentally leave one of there own behind (E.T) At the end of ET you see the ship jump into hyperspace with there course set for a long ride to the other galaxy. After a long while they finally reach the new Galaxy, (the galaxy that is seen at the end of ESB) were they find a uninhabited planet similar to there home planet were they are able to settle down and start there culture over without fearing the empire.
Can you make a video on the origins of humans in star wars? What planet do they all come from? Was there a original human home world in Star Wars cannon?
It's funny cause originally George Lucas has a book planned that would connect all his movies in one universe, in which made earth canon to Star Wars saying that the planet was doomed due to * insert one George's movies here idk which one* and they invented a time machine which accidently also sent them into another galaxy which was originally be the reason why humans are in the Star Wars universe but that's still not canon either way, I just found it interesting
There was a comic, where Han and Chewy crashed on Earth in early 19th century America, and Han is killed by Indians and a hundred years later his body is found by.....wait for it...Indiana Jones who just happens to be in the area investigating the existence of the Sasquatch (guess who that is?)
When I first saw the scene in phantom menace I was like “hey it’s et’s species that’s really cool” and ever since then I count et as part of the Star Wars canon
Steven Spielberg put Star Wars toys and the Yoda cameo into E.T. (released in 1982) as an homage to George Lucas, who he met and became friends with while attending film school in the '70s. Putting the E.T. aliens into a Star Wars movie was George Lucas' way of saying thank you.
In 1999 Gorge Lucas had commissioned an author to wright a book that would have connected all of the movies that Lucas had made up to that point + E.T.. But then the author abandoned the project for no reason.
This is really interesting! I just thought at one point that what if the Asogains were targeted at one point (which I doubt it) and went back to Earth. Could this mean that The Imperials would hire Bounty Hunters and follow them to Earth? Or would the Imperials follow them to Earth?
so...if et's canon in star wars then I have to ask. Why do the people on earth know about it and have the movies of star wars? like that scene with them playing with the star wars action figures or that bit with the kid trick or treating as yoda? if it is cannon with the star wars universe does that mean we have an actuall timeline for star wars not being so "long, long ago"?
Well in the Star Wars universe, the E.T. aliens are just a species that look like E.T. and are completely unrelated to them. It's also like how Star Wars has "aliens" that look just like Humans, but they technically aren't Earth Humans.
long time ago in a galaxy far far away. if they would consider it to be cannon then really the year the star wars universe would be 10,000 years or more after the clone wars
Well the implication might be that its in our universe, just in a galaxy far away, a long time ago. If the humans existed in the time of Star Wars, then survived until our time, so could the E.T. aliens.
Ok so, one thing irks me kinda: Don't be afraid of pauses. You tend to fade out your voice in the middle of the word, then start the outro. Sounds strange to me.
