😀😀👍👍👍❤ This is like when I go Fly Fishing on some of the smaller rivers. Very relaxing without the waves and the wind and being able to catch a beautiful snapper. I agree to get a small "bean" fishing rod for the mangroves. Heiko, another very well-done and so fun and hilarious video to watch! Bye for now from another boat owner in Seattle, WA.

I absolutely am loving the inflatable mini skiffs. I am about to get one myself but the one im getting is way lighter more compact and its 1/4 of the price. Im about to pull the trigger on it today. These skiffs are better than my jon boat or a kayak in many ways. Cant stand on my jon boat or kayak so this fills a niche that i really want.

Additionally, the snapper you caught at the 28 minute mark is a schoolmaster - no white triangle tear drop below the eye. The other one you caught prior is the dog snapper. You can see the triangular white tear drop below the eye and the colors aren't as vivid.

I have 2 words for you a small rod, "Dock Demon" is your best bet in my opinion. I have watched guys reel in 30# catfish on one. You can also get one of those inflatable floating coolers and tow it behind you while in the mangroves like a trailer to help make room. Great video brother, see you on the next one. I just looked and Cuddy makes a floating hard sided cooler that would work awesome for what you need.

Aside from a working livewell with an aerator and a good water filter - which isn't practical on your inflatable skiff how about testing a natural approach. Net a few and place them in a minnow trap or equal of sufficient size that you can drag the thing in the water alongside the boat? Try to diffuse the bright, direct sunlight. Probably things that you already have laying around. Start with a few and work your way up.

So if you go to the keys Bass Pro they actually sell cheap ice fishing rods. I stopped in the last time I was down there looking for a couple cheapos for the kids for some dock fishing at the resort. Told the salesman what I was looking for and he said, let me show you our best selling rod and ree combo. Walked down to the end of the aisle and grabbed a $20 ice fishing rod. I was like, why do you have these? He said they sell a ton of them that people take home as souvenirs or gag gifts so they can say they got a setup from the country's fishing capital. Anyway we used them to land several keeper snapper and one of them made it back in my checked bag without breaking. Think it would be super effective in those tight mangroves.

Heiko - This video is an example of why I follow your channel. I have been laid up with a cold for a few days and spend a lot of time re-watching SFFC videos. Most fishing and hunting video programs are so far removed from the world most of us fish and hunt in that I can't relate to them. They are about competition, big-names, big money and are in a world most of us don't live in. You have boat motor troubles, you forget to take a net, you get excited when a fish is on, you bring us into your house and so on. It's hard to explain, but your style makes your followers feel like we are your fishing buddies.
