English translation for the lyrics:
Come, let's ride on the tides
Past old heartache we will go
Come, let's fly, bend the shackles
Waves and storm winds set us free
We ride the water on wooden horses
Cracking whips from masts and sail
We spur on, our gaze ahead
Restless freedom, blessing and curse
Hey, hey, hey, do you hear the call of freedom? Don't wait too long
Because it goes by much too fast, much too fast
Hey, hey, hey, do you hear the call of freedom? Then hold on tight
Before the ravages of time take us all
Come, let's live, forgive debts
Let's forget what has divided us
Let's forgive, no time for hate
Who rests, rusts, so live in the moment
Hey, hey, hey, do you hear the call of freedom? Don't wait too long
Because it goes by much too fast, much too fast
Hey, hey, hey, do you hear the call of freedom? Then hold on tight
Before the ravages of time take us all
Hey
Hey, hey, hey
Hey, hey, hey
Hey, hey, hey, do you hear the call of freedom? Don't wait too long
Because it goes by much too fast, much too fast
Hey, hey, hey, do you hear the call of freedom? Then hold on tight
Before the ravages of time take us all
Love these lyrics. Thank you so much for sharing these with us.
I do enjoy dArtagnan. 🙂
They have a nice collaboration which you might enjoy:
"dArtagnan - We're gonna be drinking ft. Candice Night, Blackmore's Night"
They also work with Patty Gurdy sometimes.
I pronounce the name as in d'Artagnan and The Three Musketeers. Probably not the exact German pronunciation, but close enough, I hope.
Thank you for this information. We have added your suggestion to our list.
@@grandparentsreact Perfect, that would have been another dArtagnan song I would have suggested myself!
As the name D'Artagnan is literally taken from the book "The three Musketeers", the french pronounciation is the correct one. There is no "exact" German pronounciation - only desperate Germans like me trying to pronounce a french name more or less correctly. 😅
🇫🇮❤you for entertaining us with your reaction to this German folk metal band. The song's title translates as "Call of Freedom" in English. Since Ossey1976 has already given you the English lyrics, I don't have to.
Thank you so much for watching with us and for commenting.
@grandparentsreact 🤗
"God has given your souls wings so that they may soar into the heaven of freedom and love. Why do you cut them off and crawl like insects on the surface of the earth?" - Khalil Gibran - Lebanese artist and poet 1883-1931
