I know your post is over 4 years old but I have to say thank you! Very helpful instructions. My recipe had me just adding the dry ingredients into the yeast mixture and didn't let the yeast ferment. I love the idea of the well in the flour. I love your well appointed kitchen too! My bread is doing the final rise right now. Christos Anesti!
Good morning bac77, Thank you for your lovely comment and We hope your bread came out as good as ours!!! Hope you have time to check our recipes on STAVROS KITCHEN on RUclips, even a new recipe of Easter bread. Anyway, thanks for visiting and Happy Easter and God bless!!!

Hello Janis. Sorry for not responding sooner, but your comment was misplaced with so many other. Thank you for the lovely comment! Wishing you a Happy Easter, full of joy, and Happiness!!!
I've made your bread every year now for the last 3 Easters. My husbands mum was Greek (passed when he was 12yo). So I like to add a little touch of Greek for him each Easter. Just getting it out the oven now for Easter 2017! Happy Easter! (My kids and husband are waiting to eat it!)
Hello dear Kim. Sorry for not responding sooner. Your lovely comment was misplaced with so many other messages. I'm so happy that my recipe gives a bit of comfort to your beloved Husband and kids, each Easter that comes round. May I wish you and all family a Happy and joyous Easter! God bless!
Thanks so much for sharing your family recipie with us❤ Excellent video. I liked how you explained the significance of the red eggs and 3 strands of bread, and how you showed all the steps. I like to use my hands too, instead of a machine. You're one of the few RUclipsrs that shows how! Happy Easter!💐
Hi Katherine, THANK YOU SO MUCH for your lovely comment , and We Are so sorry that we missed your comment all those months ago.... Thanks for visiting and please, keep well and safe. Cheers.

My Wife is Greek and we make this bread also, but my Mum is Georgian and she also used to make it for my Father who is Armenian. In Armenian we also call it chorek. This bread is so yummy Kalo Pashcha Christos Anesti
+Vano Sasuntsi Thank you very much for watching and commenting on the TSOUREKI Greek Easter bread. This bread is popular among the Orthodox Christians. My sisters Godfather he is Armenian and the family always make Tsoureki. The Greek Orthodox Easter is in may the first. There is a big gap between the Catholics and the Orthodox Christians this year which is very confusing for many people. Happy Easter!
Just found your Comment, Which was misplaced with so many other messages. It's very sad when we lose someone we love. I like to thank you for passing by even though it was two years ago. Wishing you a Happy Easter!!!
I liked it very much, I use a different recipe where kneading is actually 'pulling' the dough strings. But I will try yours dear friend, I can tell it is a success. Thank you for sharing.
Lila Lilak Hello, and hope all is well. You know Lila, I have to make it few times first, to make sure it works, then share it, with friends and family, for approval. I also know there is many different recipes for tsoureki out there. I just hope, that people will like my recipe. This bread can be made all year round, and always tastes better when freshly baked. Good luck Lila, with baking, and I always enjoy talking to you. With best wishes as always.
Stavros Antoniou Hello Elizabeth Burgess, I'm so happy for you to know that you have made the Easter Bread and how wonderfully it turned out. Please enjoy your bake, and have a Happy Easter!!!
+Elizabeth Burgess Hi Elizabeth, Nice to here from you again. I'm really pleased that you like the Easter Bread! I hope it turns out as good as the first time. Thank you and good luck. with my very best wishes!
Γεὶα σου Stavros, Tried your recipe last year for the first time. It was good. The dough when I was kneading it felt a little too stiff or dry though. I think I needed to let it rise a little longer from what my mother was saying. This year I am going to give it an extra hour to rise. But my kids loved it regardless. My wife is not Greek but she really liked it as well. Trying to keep the tradition alive now that my dad has passed and mother is getting on in years. Do you have a μαγειρὶτσα recipe? Thank you and καλό πὰσχα.
Γειά σου φίλε μου, Sorry for not responding sooner. Been away for few days only just now got your message. I might be a little bit too late. Regarding the dough, maybe you have used more flour than you should. Make sure you use the same (cup or glass) for all the ingredients, wet and dry. 1 after mixing everything together the dough should be soft. 2 then knead the dough for ten minutes until it becomes smooth and elastic. 3 then place the dough in a lightly oiled bowl, cover it, and let it stand for an hour in a warm place to rise or until is double in size. 4 then knead again until smooth. do not over knead that will make it stiff. Sorry about your dad passing, unfortunately we all have to go through that losing our parents. Just trying to keep our tradition going through the next generation. I do have a recipe for mageiritsa. I will try to find the time to make it. I hope that I have been of some help to you! Best wishes for now. Regards Stavros.
Kalo Pascha! Xristos Anesti! Thankyou for blessibg us with this bread recipe. I will make this version. Is Mahlepi and Mastica traditional? My daughter would probably prefer your falvors. Thank you again
