'These desolate and threatening ranges of dark mountains are, in reality, sources of life and happiness.' (John Ruskin) Well done James, what a great day.
I cannot wait to climb those two! And it would be a dream to get those conditions. I think you must be pretty fit now James, after climbing all those hills, but I love the way that you don't pretend to be some sort of superman athlete - you give us a realistic description of the conditions and what to expect.
Thank you 😁 these a great hills! I am pretty fit but have actually slowed down a bit compared to a few years ago 🤣 big days are hitting me a bit harder now, maybe that comes with age 😂 Cheers, James
Good work on doing these two. Bikes are a must. Our trip went well until a friend managed to buckle the front wheel on the way in. To continue we had to undo the brake, stand on the wheel rim to make it rotate, only option was put grass in the tyre to pack it out. This repair worked, hills done and the one with only one brake was the first back to the car!
Excellent two of my favourite Scottish mountains I shall be venturing back soon as my brother has left his last Munro top as the one on the end of that lovely narrow ridge off the eastern side of Lurg mhor so I am looking forward to returning to that fantastic area which you captured so well I used beinn dornig lodge for the night when I did lurg mhor as I walked in and out of the area on foot.i wild camped when I did cheesecake climbing it’s steep western face an easy but exhilarating scramble brilliant video superb It brought back nice memories thanks
Fantastic brought back memories from 2012 took bike in too but came over the Corbett with small lochan near top first then slight scramble up your munro no2 then i carried on to lurg mhor and along the ridge (some bum shuffling as big drops on left when sticking near ridge crest and on right upon return along ridge crest no snow though) to meall mor to get to big rounded grass munro top with cairn. Managed to reverse the route without reasending lurg mhor (contoured as high as possible between the two Munro's) I remember it was still a biggish drop in height before heading back up over the Corbett again then back to bike for the cycle out. Fantastic to see the ridge to meall mhor again but with snow cover and good photography. SPLENDID DAY OUT. Thanks for sharing.😊😊😊😊😊😊
What a fantastic day. When you travel for so long and so far then those views make it all the more worth while. Without the bike I should imagine it would be a huge day or probably involving a camp somewhere and completing it over two days. Brilliant video, superb views. A great watch.
Amazing! I've walked past these hills on the Cape Wrath Trail. I might take a wee walk up them this years as I walk the trail again! Thanks for sharing 👍
Fantastic video, James. It's stunning up there and just so remote. I don't think I will be up these ones as I'm in my seventh decade and feeling every hour!😂
Absolutely stunning. Both times I have done these 2 I went in and out from Lair. The first time I returned in a straight line from Lurg Mhor - wow that was a massive down and up. The north face of Sheasgach has a grass rake all the way through the cliffs, marked at the topby a standing stone. It's a bit special. But what a super video James. I am glad you rated them that highly. I supect many a theoretical Munroist decides to abandon their attempt with these 2, but there is always the opportunity to overnight at Bearnais bothy.
Some absolutely breathtaking shots there James. I bagged my first of the year on Sunday with the Glen Turret route up Ben Chonzie and thought I had it decent with views and weather, this is on a completely different level.
Absolutely stunning video James. These are on my radar. But for probably for next year as I want to get more wild camp experience cause I would love to camp up their and do the munros. But well done. ATB Alan
Its fantastic area James, walked in a couple of weeks ago spending the night in the bothy doing the Corbett Beinn Dronaig and the Munro Top Meall Mor. Fantastic video as always and what stunning views.
Good stuff James. Fantastic day and nice remote feeling. Really nice spot at the loch, and the views from the tops are great. I'm hoping to head back in for Beinn Dronaig soon.
these 2 are my next trip as well as the fisherfields, vant wait , you got great weather for these 2 , i did Ben More on Mull last week and it was absolutely baltic at the top , great vid and keep up the good work
Hi James, stunning mate, what an epic adventure but the reward though for that hard work is definitely worth it. Just amazing views, thank you for taking us along for the ride (excuse the pun) 🤣 All the best mate Dave 😀🥾⛰🏴
Fantastic photography. I love these hills set in the middle of nowhere a you said. I 'cheated' and camped part of the way, from the north, in order to make these two manageable days. Still not sure why this was not a 10! Great video thanks.
Hi James Great video and brings back memories of a trip in 2010 when myself and a pal cycled in from Attadale a tough route. We left bikes at Bendronaig Lodge and continued on foot over both Munros. Whole trip took about 10 hours. I posted a video on U tube of our attempt but not nearly as professional as yours mind you equipment was not as sophisticated back then. I need to go back to bag the Corbett of Ben Dronaig not looking forward to the cycle in as I am 14 years older than last time😂😂 How many have you still to do? My first round took 20 years!! Keep up the videos young man.
I’m beginning to realise that James is starting to take this bagging thing quite seriously, not messing about. I’ve looked these one up , it took a while. What is Scottish Gaelic for the a end on nowhere? Great stuff. Love it
fantastic video! did you previously bag Sgùrr Chòinnich, Sgùrr a' Chaorachain, and Maoile Lunndaidh? Could've sworn I watched a previous video of yours doing the three (3). I've been planning doing the 5 in a day from Achnashellach Forest, Craig. Maybe worth splitting it up into a 2 day adventure/camp.
What an effort pal... you absolutely smashed it! I've been keen to get these two ticked off.. do you have any advice? Also... do you reckon there are spots to wild camp near the loch at the foot of the Munros?
In Fisherfield - A'Mhaighdean most remote (+ Ruadh Stac Mor next door, col between them regarded as most remote spot in UK). Lurg Mor & Seanna Bhraigh the next 2 most remote. Plenty of others pretty remote too, including the Eastern Cairngorm Plateau.
Must admit, Ive stopped watching these videos on anything other than a good screen. The production quality deserves a good screen. Just a thought.....why not invest in an e-bike, to help with the tough cycle in/out? Also, for your final munro, are you palnning on making it public knowldge so people can join to celebrate your achievement? Cheers
I was cursing that I didn’t have an ebike whilst pushing the bike uphill 🤣 I will get one in the future.. I might be making an announcement on it but not 100%, I have done over 200 solo so might finish that way.. but would also be nice to share the moment with others.. I will have to decide soon 🤣 Cheers, James

These movies are great to watch with a cold beer...after a long and busy day. Just brilliant. Quality viewing. Absolute respect to James.
Thank you 😁

Well thats a trip you will never forget 🤣
As always James just so beautiful. The solitude is deafening💖

Awesome, that will be a nice trip for the Munro top! I will definitely return to do all the Munros in that area again.. cheers, James
Impressed you managed those two in one day, and in winter too. It was a 3 day trip for me! Stunning video as always, thanks James
It was a tough day for sure, might split it with an overnighter next time 🤣
Great video mate 👍 fantastic 2 peaks to accomplish👌🏻 looking forward to the next adventure 🏴🏔️🥾

Outstanding, shots are just spectacular! What a powerful production man!

Thank you 😁 definitely a camp/bothy trip without the bike.. maybe next time!
Excellent work yet again! Absolutely amazing views. 👍
Thank you 😁
Class! Not done them and too late now! Absolute pleasure to watch the route. An epuc trip so well done!
Fine, fine photography. Beautiful
Absolutely stunning visuals. Thanks 👍... Just makes me desperate to do more in Scotland when there's conditions like that. Love it
Thank you - not often we get these conditions unfortunately 👎 got to make the most of it when it happens 😂
Amazing! I've walked past these hills on the Cape Wrath Trail. I might take a wee walk up them this years as I walk the trail again! Thanks for sharing 👍
Beautiful video. Thank you for sharing.
Epic walk!
One of my favourite walks so far 😁
Wow! What a fabulous day you had James!
Thanks James. Am off to Scotland tomorrow. This was my warm up! Hope we get some weather like this.
Hope you get the weather 😁
Great video mate

Cracking video James…… tbh they all are….. thank you.
Well done James stunning part of Scotland and well worth the effort on the bike to get those views 👌
Brilliant, thank you for the video, looking forward to climbing them in the summer, will camp at Loch Calavie
Enjoy! Great location for a camp 😁
Absolutely stunning video James. These are on my radar. But for probably for next year as I want to get more wild camp experience cause I would love to camp up their and do the munros. But well done.

Thanks Alan, its a great location - I would recommend camping as it is a huge day otherwise 🤣 enjoy when you come to do them! Cheers, James
Living vicariously through your video!
Great video footage as always James , looking forward to these Munros this year 👍🏻
Thank you 😁 Enjoy!
Epic footage!
Stunning. Still got those two 👍
Loving the tunes 🎶 class video mate 👌
Brilliant video James. Your camera work and editing makes for really enjoyable viewing.
By the title, I thought it was a 27-mile cycle in...!! 27-mile round-trip is more like it!! Great stuff!
Apologies 🤣 still a pretty big day! Cheers, James
Another day with superb conditions for your hike James. Fantastic drone footage 👍 Climbed these two back in 2004, Great to see them again. ATB Derek
Excellent adventure!
Its fantastic area James, walked in a couple of weeks ago spending the night in the bothy doing the Corbett Beinn Dronaig and the Munro Top Meall Mor. Fantastic video as always and what stunning views.
Thank you 😁 I will probably return and do a bothy trip in the future, bet that was a great trip!
Stunning what else can one say😊
Great scenery and video!!!
I looked at the route in on the map, very long bike ride. Great video as usual James
Thank you 😁
Whats a video James - one of your best yet i’d say 🙌🙌
Thanks Paul 😁
what an effort, man, well done
Your best film yet James. 👏🏼
Thank you 😁
Good stuff James. Fantastic day and nice remote feeling. Really nice spot at the loch, and the views from the tops are great. I'm hoping to head back in for Beinn Dronaig soon.
Thanks Andy! Its an epic area, have a nice trip. I will definitely return to these 😁🏔
Truly a ramblin' man!
these 2 are my next trip as well as the fisherfields, vant wait , you got great weather for these 2 , i did Ben More on Mull last week and it was absolutely baltic at the top , great vid and keep up the good work
Awesome, you have some great trips to look forward to.. Im hoping to get Ben More on Mull soon.. Cheers, James
man the blue bird sky's that you get are always on point. Must be in close contact with the weather gods aha
Haha a bit of luck, I do a lot of walking through the week so usually pick the best days 😁
Hi James, stunning mate, what an epic adventure but the reward though for that hard work is definitely worth it. Just amazing views, thank you for taking us along for the ride (excuse the pun) 🤣
All the best mate

Pretty much was a 10 but I was a bit cruel and knocked 0.5 off for the uphill sections on the bike 🤣
Hi James Great video and brings back memories of a trip in 2010 when myself and a pal cycled in from Attadale a tough route. We left bikes at Bendronaig Lodge and continued on foot over both Munros. Fantastic video 👍❄️
Outstanding James. One of the best yet.... And again with the weather! You need to share your secret to planning these.
I'm not sure if James does these on weekdays, but if so then there's a good chance of at least one dry and clear day per week!
Your right - I get mostly weekdays off so just pick the best day, usually one half decent day a week 😁
@@ScottishMunroJourney Indeed. Even with a crap week there is usually one half decent day.
Literally taking my partner on her first wildcamp out there next week if the weather is good! What spectacular timing your video is! :D
Nice one - Enjoy 😁🏔
@@ScottishMunroJourney Ahah the weather was dreadful! Still a good first for her though!
Great video but that cycle then walk up to the Munro’s must have really hurt well done 👍
Yes I was feeling it after the cycle in, never mind the two munros 🤣
Super James, don't think you would have done that expedition in poor weather? At least you were mainly downhill on the way out.
No chance, I save big routes like these for the good weather 🤣 downhill was good fun thats for sure! Cheers, James
Sunny boy , great vid
I’m beginning to realise that James is starting to take this bagging thing quite seriously, not messing about. I’ve looked these one up , it took a while. What is Scottish Gaelic for the a end on nowhere? Great stuff. Love it

Yes I have done the other 3 previously 😁 had an awesome day this time last year.. that would be an epic! Enjoy, Cheers, James
What an effort pal... you absolutely smashed it! I've been keen to get these two ticked off.. do you have any advice? Also... do you reckon there are spots to wild camp near the loch at the foot of the Munros?
Thanks Calum, some great spots.. Loch Calavie would be good or even the Bealach between the two.. amazing area - you will love it 😁 Cheers, James
James , that’s one of your best vids 👏👏👏. Do you pick the music for the summit shots ?. Very atmospheric . Great work 👍
Thanks Phillip, yes I chose the music (Beluga Lagoon) 😁 Cheers, James
Great vid, loving your drone shots 😍
Two munros on my to do list , looked good with the snow tops.👍
Is that you done all six in that area now ?
Yes thats all 6 bagged, An Teallach is my furthest North now 😁
@@ScottishMunroJourney 👏👍
You need to stay in the Bearnais Bothy for these two?
You can do - or just cycle in and out 😁
Brilliant video again mate 👏🏻 fantastic views! How many is that in total now? 🗻
This was 236 & 237 😁🏔
@@ScottishMunroJourney unbelievable mate, superb 👏🏻💪🏻
Whats the name of the song you played at the end?
Beluga Lagoon - The Witch 😁
What camera gear do you use? We need a list 🙏
Where do these class in terms of remoteness? Top 20? top 5? I have lost count with how many munros are deemed "Remote".
Definitely top 5 remote Munros, As someone else has commented this is up there with the remotest spots in Scotland.
Must admit, Ive stopped watching these videos on anything other than a good screen. The production quality deserves a good screen. Never, never talk on a hiking video. Talking and commentary is the fastest way to lose viewers.
Noted 😂
